20 minutes....usually there's no traffic though so I don't mind driving to work at all.

2 minutes if the lights are green. 6 max if they're red.

Just 5 minutes, taking mostly calm arterials.

It used to take me 2 hours, now I'm down to 1 hour 20 minutes each way in another state. The salary is totally worth it.

10 minutes, taking back roads. 15 minutes if i catch the damn train crossing the track, which i seem to 25 percent of the time.

About 10 minutes, it's the next exit down the highway.

Re: How far of a drive to work?

Takes me about 20 minutes in the morning, thanks to traffic on Hwy 70... If I leave earlier, it could be down to less than 15... I got a call from a headhunter, and I'm interviewing for another job in less than an hour, and that commute could possibly be down to 5-8 minutes from my house.

                          I walk two blocks...

It's a cool job, but the pay is low, so the lack of a commute and the money saved as a result makes the pay go further..

I also don't have to pay to park the car, buy specific clothing or eat meals on the job...all big positives...

I've always had a huge problem with 'the cost(s) of working' vs. the financial reward...

My commute is 5-10 minutes. If there weren't any traffic lights it might only be 3.
