Not necessarily.....at least not in most cases that we'd encounter.Originally posted by luv_mistToo much water is bad though.

The only time I could see too much water being "bad" is if someone ran a marathon or participated in a triathlon and needed to replenish themselves with the extra sodium they lost in running such an event. In those cases a good mixture of water and salt would be very good (Gatorade).Comment

 Re: Gatorade?

huskers right,DONT drink it as a soft drink beverage. it may be just as bad as sodas, but it defeats the purpose. use it while you sweat hard or after. your body doesnt lose that much sugar.

 btw, powerade > gatoradeComment

Its only 64 ounces of water, its like drinking 5 soda cans of water. Sometimes you drink a glass of water that actually equals 2.

Pretty interesting stuff about the gatorade, i've always killed a bottle just with a meal and not working out after that. I wonder if that goes for Vitamin water also, i love that stuff.Comment

ive found the best is the walmart flavored water, especially white grape... either that or some crystal light lemonade with added salt and sugar.

RE water being bad. i think there talking about

Basically drinking too much in a short amount of time. all people are different with their safe limit intake. I'd never drink more than 50 ounces in a 5 minute span. after that my stomach just hurts too much to intake anymoreComment

 Re: Gatorade?

I went through 16 of those gatorade bottles with the heat we had here last week. The salt in it just makes you crave it more.
Water is good, but there is nothing like an ice cold gatorade, powerade or beer after playing sports or working all day.Comment

 Re: Gatorade?

Gatorade has less sugar and less calories than a can of Coke or Pepsi. Like I said, the problem is it's heavily loaded electrolytes. The sodium, potassium, magnesium, etc is an overload to the body if you drink it straight. Cut in half with water corrects this problem though.Originally posted by fishepaI believe it's the sugar content in Gatorade that makes it bad for you if you drink a lot of it.How I wish, how I wish you were here. Exactly. Drink water when you are thirsty. It's that simple. BTW, just a little fact, 90% of all headaches are caused by dehydration.Originally posted by RubenDouglasso basically drink water or liquid if your thristy to feel better "mntally" but physically it doesnt really matter? I've been doing the crystal light lemonade or ruby red at work, and it's a tasty alternative to just water (I tend to drink a lot of water, but like flavor sometimes too)Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

 Re: Gatorade?

This actually happened with my brother yesterday. He had a baseball tournament in Panama City and had games right in the middle of the day with the temperature at about 95-100 degrees. All he had been drinking during the games had been bottled water.Originally posted by joebooNot necessarily.....at least not in most cases that we'd encounter.

Well, yesterday came and he woke up feeling sick. He ended up throwing up eleven times at the baseball field and wasn't able to play. He went to the hospital because his pulse rate was too high and the doctor said that since he had pretty much only been drinking water the last few days his body was unable to digest the pizza he had eaten the night before. The doctor told him that he should have been alternating between water and Gatorade throughout the tournament. He's fine today after getting some rest.Comment
