Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread
but in all seriousness, maybe you need to just play your role and that way you can't really suck *** out there. I know my role when I get out there, and that is to stay in front of my man on D, and take every shot from the corner/sides I get, contested or not, because my teammates count on me to shoot that shot at all costs, because its deadly... goes in nearly 90% of the time, contested or uncontested.
If you aren't a good shooter at this point, don't shoot... just make good passes, and set screens to free your teammates who may be better at shooting and such. Be a hustle type player if you can. Every team loves to have a guy like that, because they can take more shots, and you will free them up to do so. You will also give them even more chances to shoot, when you hustle for loose balls and boards.
When your role becomes an integral part of success, you will stop caring about how you might average a low amount of points per game. When you win, and your team stays on the court (whatever the cirumstance) that always feels the best in the end.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Yea its a guy friend, but whats the biggie. I went on a date monday with a friend of a friend, I mean its not like im completely avoiding it. I just have a hard time considering im not 21 to get into a bar, and I hate the club scene.
So occational weekend house parties, and good luck of running into somebody randomly is really all im working with right now.Comment

Im thankful today for private bathrooms. I refuse to take a #2 in a public bathroom, and today was the first day in a long time I could NOT hold it. Thankfully my work has a small private bathroom along with the public bathrooms.Comment

Also, on offense, moving around without the ball is the most important thing in pick-up type games if you want to get the ball. Most people are ballhogs in pick-up games and if you are moving around they atleast will have a better shot at seeing you and then passing it to you.Comment

I know I'm not the best player on the court. I know I'm not the most athletic on the court. However, I'll be damned if anyone out hustles me during a game. I'll fight for every ball and dish the ball to everyone. I don't need to score to feel like I've contributed.
However, it does suck that when your shots aren't falling at all.
Speaking of which, I went to the gym and shot around for an hour. I ws actually hitting my threes today. I shot 100 of them (10 shots, 10 times)
5/10 - 3/10 - 5/10 - 3/10 - 6/10 - 7/10 - 3/10 - 4/10 - 2/10 - 4/10 = 42/100 (42%)
I was pretty happy with it. I was also not completely sucking on my layups.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread
I suck at rebounding, and ball control while dribbling....but I can make some pretty nice passes and I'm good at setting screens. My shooting is alright, but the problem is that I was horrible when I used to play with my friends due to having to take my glasses off. Since I don't wear contacts, shooting with glasses off really screwed me over.
That said, I havent played in a year or two, so whatever.Comment

Not trying to get this political, but I thought this was funny. Please don't mention anything political, regardless if you find it funny or not. I don't want this thread getting closed.

Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread
Don't understand the details but they are saying my Father is guilty of negligence, and endangering the welfare of a child (my sister), after he decided to keep her home from school for 12 days because she suffered a serious illness. Even after providing proof of a doctors note.
wtf wouldn't he be putting her in more danger by sending her to school?
IMO the school district can kiss my ***, as if they know what's best for my sister and me....I'll take the judgement call of my father who took the best care of me for 18 years...and works his tail off providing for this family.
