Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread

I'm in the same boat as you. I never understood either. Even minor-leagues get my attention over college sports, because its a pro-setting. I grew up in an area where there isn't a big pro sports team within 180 miles, so everyone is a big college fan, and I really didn't like being surrounded by all of them.*doesn't understand the big deal over college sports. Especially Bowl games where some stupid computer decides who's playing*

Maybe it's because I'm from Toronto where no one cares about High School and College sports. I live in the US now and I just don't understand how people get so hyped over amateur sports - especially High School (I mean really) and College. Give me the Pros any day.

Worst is when they say that College is better than pros because they try harder (yeah, ok!) ... the reason why it appears that way, is because the pros make it look easy.

Then they say, College games can go either way, you never know who's going to win! Ummm... Duke vs Davidson... Duke usually wins by 30 every time... games go either way my ***.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Oh yeah man... nice... one team!...

obviously it happens more than once... it happens a bit here and there... you have to look at an overall percentage... it's poor compared to pro sports.

and I honestly like Pro sports playoffs as opposed to the NCAA tournament (when i'm in attendance).SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread

There are actual rivalries (meaning rivalries where the fans AND the players care about it) in college sports as opposed to pro sports.Comment

My manager got a final warning from the District Manager, one more issue and he's gone. So hopefully he's gone soon..

He hates me too, he has me working Friday and Saturday this week, after I've told him weekends aren't good for me, and I have/had plans for Friday, looks like I have to cancel those now. Blind to this impending fate Blind to this impending fate

Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread

Rutgers this year in football, George Mason in basketball, Bucknell against Kansas, etc. No atmosphere compares to college sports. I went to a bunch of Cowboys vs Giants or Eagles games, and none compared to how it was last week when I was at the Rutgers/Louisville game. NONE.Oh yeah man... nice... one team!...
