MagicBucsWsoxFan, I was in a similar situation to you about 5-6 years ago. I dated the same girl for 4 years, we shared a lot of experiences together and she was without a doubt my best friend (and after some work we became friends again). But trust me when I tell you that you don't want to know if there is another guy involved. That quote by Malcolm X is true, you will either not believe her (even if she is telling the truth) or you will not want to actually know the answer. I can admit now that she left me for another guy, albeit not immediately but at the end of the day that was the reason, and there is not much more painful than that.

Now in the process, I did some deplorable things. While we stayed friends, I lead her to believe I had interest in getting back together and actually helped the process of her and that guy breaking up. (I girl pal and I decided he needed some payback for doing it to me a year earlier) Perhaps had that happened sooner, we would have but by the time it did I was with another girl who is now my wife. Have I second guessed the decision, I would be lying to say no, but that is not to say I have any regrets about it whatsoever. My wife is much, much better for me and we share a bond that is uncomparable. So have faith, there will be another girl who comes along, who may be better for you. Just when she comes remember that she isn't your ex (this is not as easy as it sounds), and remember someone better is out there, as much as it doesn't seem like it today.

I'm not exactly an expert at this advice thing, but it sounds like this chick might be going back and forth with you because she's trying to wait for something to happen with that ex-bf. And if those plans fell through with him, she would always have her lovable, huggable MagicBucsWsoxFan.

I wouldn't bite if she tried to get back with you again. Even if a guy is not the cause of her actions, the instability of her situation with you, that's no way to treat a good man........ and the instability and high probability for mind games would take a toll on you I'm sure if y'all did stick.
