Maybe it's just me but that just seems...sleezy, or something. I don't know. And yes...I've been in a situation like this where I just want to know something about a girl - whether there's hope for you and her, or whether it's not worth continuing on. I've been tempted to call her, tempted to check in and see what's up...but I haven't because her not calling me, even when she said she would, seems like a sign that I should just let it go. Which is what I've done.

Granted, it could just be difference in personalities...but if a girl doesn't want to tell you something, you don't go looking through her diary, her notebooks, her e-mail, whatever you could look through to find out.

Try having youre girlfriend of 7 years cheat on you, you confront the guy, fight it out and find out the next month your girlfriend dies of a freak accident. You lose custody of your 2yrd old child only to never see her or your girlfriend again.

At least then it'll be in his mind whether he believes it or not, or whether shes able to convince him other wise or not. I know I should take the high road, but I feel like the least I can do is get the last word.

Naw, dont do that. Makes you look bad. I know she played you but in this instance, do like Gilateen said and man up. Say "F Her" and move on.

No he should just take the hint in move on.

It hurts, of course it's going to hurt, but if she says she doesn't have feelings for you anymore, 99% of the time she doesn't. And if you get the feeling she's with another guy - ask her about it. If she says 'no'...you can be pretty sure she's lying to keep from hurting you, so just move on with your life.

You're still young, it's going to hurt letting go of someone you love, but it'd be better off in the long run that hanging around, trying to get her back when she doesn't have those kind of feelings for you anymore.

The pain is never going to go away. You must find time for yourself. Take care of youself and love will come to take care of you.

Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread

Always felt that I was too skeptical of people in society for most of my life. Recently, I have become much more open and accepting of the notion that "everybody isn't a rotten piece of ****". This morning, the most recent percept took a blow to its validity.

...Driving into work this morning on the Mass Pike and there's typical backup right before the toll stands. This is what happens when hundreds of cars are jammed into two lanes. Nothing unusual for my morning commute though. So I'm minding my business, rocking out to some Chuck Berry in my Pontiac Grand Prix while inching ahead in a scene similar to the opening of Office Space, when I feel a THUD and my car juts forward. This gold sedan rear-ended me.

I look into my mirror and see a woman in the passenger seat visibly swearing, and some middle aged dude driver throwing his hands in the air. A youngster noticeable in the backseat. They know they f'ed up. I detect the remorse in their faces. I shake my head and shrug my shoulders at them, they stop their car, and the driver gets out. I lower my driver side window, "How bad is it?"

"Doesn't look like much", the befrazzled, greying haired dude says. I overhear a woman's voice coming from the passenger seat, "I don't see a scratch." I thought this was suspicious based on the tenor of her voice (nervousness), however upon getting out my car, I legitimately didn't notice anything wrong with my rear bumper.
I inform them, "I don't want to clog up the traffic here, so let's get through the toll, then pull over, because I need to get your information. I don't have time to fully inspect my car, I'm in a semi-rush to get into work."
These seemed like half decent human beings, mind you. It was evident to me they knew they screwed up.
They quickly agreed to the plan, and we then re-started the turtle's pace towards the tolls. The dude stopped his car again to verify the direction I was headed after the toll (West, not East). I informed him, "We'll stop in the little parking lot next to the tollboths, that way we can keep traffic flowing.", and he nodded his head.

So I continued my way through the traffic, with him right behind me. I signaled to enter the lane next to the parking lot. A giant green semi pulled behind me. I lost sight of the gold sedan. I pulled into the lot and waited 2 minutes for that gold sedan to face accountability for his actions. I learned a lot in those 2 minutes. One, there sure are a lot of depressed looking people headed to work in the morning, and two, wow, don't trust any person who ever hits your vehicle.

Stunned, and ashamed at my astonishing combination of gullibility and trustworthyness, I finally exited the parking lot on my way to the company parking lot. I visually inspected every car near me, trying to find that gold sedan, to no avail. Gone.

Upon arrival to work, I leapt out my car to take a close inspection of my rear bumper. Incredibly, I found only a tiny, quarter sized imprint in two places. No discoloration at all from what I could see. This was surprising given the force of the impact I felt.

The lesson? Always, always, always get the plate number of the person who hit you immediately after it happens. Don't wait. Ever. Don't rely on them stopping somewhere. Get it first. Then arrange to pull over and exchange insurance information. God I feel stupid..

Magic - She's obviously not somebody that you need with you, dude. I know it sucks, but move on. It's going to hurt like hell, but do you for awhile instead of catering to somebody else.

GBrushTWood I'd screw them over and call the state police. I am 99% sure the Pike toll booths have cameras and the jerkoff can easily be identified. That will teach them a lesson.

I know I definatly have no choice now, but its probably harder because she was my first time. Also my first long term relationship.

You gotta man up. I know it hurts, but you're young, what 19? There are a million different women out there. It sounds like this girl was trouble from the start. If you dated her for the first 3 months, all while she was living with another guy? That wasn't clue #1? Or the sneaking to make phone calls?! Come on man. This is going to hurt, but she's probably been cheating on you since day 1. Go out this weekend, get some happy sex with a random stranger, and move on.

It happens, most of us have been through it, just don't let it ruin your life, it's certinaly not ruining her's.
