I saw a screening of that movie on Monday... I already posted in this thread that I enjoyed it.

I've come to the conclusion that everyone in this world is a douchebag.

I don't think the technology is the issue as voter participation would be...if you can't even get half the registrated voters to vote in the presidential election then how could you get the voters to vote all the time.

I'm really looking forward to that movie.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Same here - looks very "Truman Show" like, in a sense.

Alright, so here is the rundown of basketball today.

I tried extremely hard to take your advice about not letting things get to my head, but it's impossible for me to do it. I don't know what I could possibly try to make it so I can do that. I didn't make a shot again (0-4), couldn't get open, and didn't get the ball when I did. I believe the 4 times I shot the ball were the only times I had the ball in my hands, and we were playing for about an hour. In the middle of our last game I got so pissed and demoralized that I had someone finish for me and I left. It's like I'm playing worse every week rather than better.

This time I'm seriously considering quitting because this play will definitely send me to the bench, but part of me wants to stay and try and work on my mental and basketball games. I just can't figure out how.

Take some advice from an older guy, if you just quit you will regret it down the road. Hang in there and just enjoy playing a game with what I would assume are your friends and teammates.

Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread

So my trip to Springfield was even worse than I could have conceived. Traffic wasn't bad, but there were a bunch of jerks going well below the speed limit holding up traffic. Where road work is being done some jerk almost caused a pile up by slowing down to 20mph through some Jersey barriers. Then when I am going to get onto the Mass Pike right before the exit some jackass from I think Arkansas sliced in front of me, almost sending me into a spin out with the rain. When we got the toll booths I let them know very loudly what I thought of their driving. Then it gets better, as I am going to get off the Pike to go to 291 the exact same thing happens with some little girl. She then cut a bunch of cars in line at the toll booth by going around and forcing her way in. Cute, huh?

Then as I get off I-291 I see a bunch of Ambulances and Cruisers tearing onto 291. I am guessing somewhere on 91 or 291 that there was a major accident. I then try calling my wife to let her know I'm safe in case she sees the news, but she went to a friend's house after visiting her Grandmother, so she didn't get home until 7:45pm. I have never been so glad to hear her voice, I was really beginning to worry because I knew she was in an awful mood and I was afraid she got in an accident somewhere. But alas she's safe, I'm safe and waiting for my favorite class to begin.

Well, it's the eve of the biggest game in my school's history. Where I work, I have had countless instances this week of just talking to the customers about the Rutgers game. Most were alumni and going to the game. The whole state might be watching tomorrow. My only worry? I have a quiz on Friday which is 9AM class, meaning I have to hope I get out of New Brunswick and home by 1AM. If we win, that may be unrealistic. I'll be in Piscataway all day tomorrow after 4PM. I am so freaking ready.

i hate it when people give me login names and passwords for stuff and then they don't work. like right now I can't get into this site and type up a PR form. and it needs to be sent out ASAP to avoid a fine. DAMMIT!

Never thought Id see the day when companies are limiting the number of hours you could work, and people try to work extra hours without pay to get around it.

I love working at the Great Steak. I dont think Ill ever pay for food again.

Just listened to some OTR (Old Time Radio) The Adventures of Philip Marlowe while adding a long overdue post to my blog. It's all about my thoughts on the Mid-Term elections.
