In these incidents, everything seems to work out in the end. Just gotta take these things in stride.

I know it's a bit late cause things seem to be going better for you, but you do have to work on that shyness thing a bit, or else you'll just be miserable at times. It used to be impossible for me to just randomly talk to people I didn't know because I am a pretty shy person. But then I just got to the realization that 2 things could happen in each situation: 1.) You and that person get along at least ok and could potentially become acquaintances/friends; or 2.) It will be awkward, nothing will come of it, but you'll probably never see the person again, so no harm no foul. Honestly I had no more than 15 people I talked to on even just a rare basis in middle school, but as high school progressed, I realized that it really makes no sense to be shy most of the time.

As a fellow High Schooler, I'll say that getting involved in some sort of sport or after-school activity is one of the best things you can do to make friends. I've been playing baseball for 9 years now and it really helped my social status and got me out of the house.

Sports are a savior in High School. Plus, if I ever am feeling down, I just start looking for a girl. It either solves all your problems or makes em worse

My advice is to not screw around in school. And figure out what you want to do for a living and work on reaching that goal now.

The Bears looked good, but when do they have an actual test? Beating the Pack isn't too special, lol.

                            And almost always the latter.
In fact, they are so adept, that they usually create problems that were never there in addition to exacerbating your previous problems.

Like deeman said, if you don't like being shy, you have to change that yourself.

Figure out what exactly it is that makes you shy. Fear of rejection? Afraid of making a fool of yourself? Just timid overall?

May not like the idea...but professional help, a counseling sessions set-up through your doctor, could really help. They could help pinpoint what's wrong, maybe give you a solution better than anyone on here can.

Thats good advice Kev, I would have recommended the same steps.

EDIT: Good to see things are working out for you bro. There is nothing wrong at all if the people you are hanging with are a bit older than you.
