So what kodiak is saying isn't bogus.
Not a building but I was on a cruise ship recently that didnt have a 13th floor. We asked a worker why? and he said no ships have them and its all the superstition thing.

            nice try

Again, this is not supposed to be a trick. Use the three digits in a formula to equal 19.

              What about: 1+2+3+x = 19 ?

I doubt that fits in the rules.

Took me two minutes. So... if factorials and summations are okay, then I think I got it...

                    3 (factorial) x 2 (summation) + 1

                    That is: 3
                    ! x Σ2 + 1

                    That is: 3(2)(1) x (2+1) + 1 = 19

That works... is that the answer?

It would, but you can't just have the summation of a constant like that. You have to set the bounds and the function you're summing.

Re: Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That

Yea, I'm done with this formula. I don't know enough math to throw in factorials and all that.

The only thing I could come up with was:

                        (3 squared) divided by 1/2 + 1 = 19

But, if I understand the rules, if I use a square then I'm using the 2 in the formula. Outside of that, I have an extra 1 in there so I already know I'm off.

                        I hate math.

True, but when I first learned summation, it was simply like that.

Well, give me five minutes and I'll come up with something else...
