    Re: Traveling to Las Vegas

Stay at the IP (Imperial Palace). Great deal. Center of the strip. Good casino. Best waitress outfits on the strip narrowly edging out the original "Paris" outfits where they racked em up high. Good times.

One tip for Vegas. Take as much money as you can afford to lose. As long as you have enough money to get your car out of short term when you get home, life is good. If you go thinking you're going to win... you're going to lose. If you go thinking you're going to lose... you're right... you are.

    That's Vegas.

That's also a good place to stay, they also have a huge Classic Car show room. Also next to Harrahs, which has the other Piano Bar (basically, its 2 dueling pianist and they take requests and interact with the crowd, pretty fun).

I will be there March 1-4 as well. About 12 of us are going for a bachelor party. We are staying at the Luxor, this will be my first time going and I can't wait.

I appreciate all of the advice. We had to be very budget conscious so we could have more money to spend on gambling and drinks while we are there. The best deal we found was for the Riviera. It seemed to get decent reviews on travel sites. I am pretty excited. This is the first time I have gone anywhere for Spring Break.

The last time i was at Vegas 2 years ago... Pats vs. Eagles... I don't remember getting on the plane, I woke up just before my connecting flight in chicago, then I checked my wallet and I had just enough to pay to get my car out of the lot. I couldn't have been happier.

That's a good feeling... nothing like having to borrow $4.00 in the basement baggage area of the Smith Terminal while you're still half hammered from the 3 day binge and continued drinking on the plane so that you can get you car out of the Big Blue Lot....

              ... I mean....

I would ASSUME that would suck....

Yeah I wish someone could tell me about it... and having voicemails from girls that you don't remember calling, asking why you said they were a B (Witch).

Stayed at the Riveria 2 years ago, was pretty good, hopefully the Stratosphere is even better. Apparently after I got kicked out of Binions 2 year ago (I was drunk, I don't think it was my fault), my friends left me in our hotel room only to come back to me on the casino floor yelling "HEY BUTTY((instead of buddy)" (kind of our calling card)) at them with a white russian in hand.

wait till i'm doing Stand Up you'll tell your friends you knew this story first. This is not a joke, my dream job is STAND UP.

                    How did this go Bergie?

So as it turns out, I am leaving for Vegas Friday morning. We are staying at the MGM, and leave Sunday morning.

Probably will run into HungryBologna while I'm down there.

It was damn fun. One of my friends got a 48 oz Beam and Coke after drinking all night and was beyond drunk. If you are looking for cheap gambling and dont mind a ghetto casino, go to Slots of Fun. They had $1 blackjack tables and $0.50 roulette and the drinks come fast. We found it our last day there and had quite a bit of fun. You can play roulette forever and stay close to even. If you like slot machines, Deal or No Deal was pretty fun.

The only thing free show I thought was really cool to see was the water show at the Bellagio which was also my favorite casino to gamble at. Treasure Island and the Palms were also cool and had amazingly hot waitresses. I think that TI had a dude in the bathroom who would get soap and towels for you and they had cologne and candy bars for you to take. It shocked me when some guy got soap for me. Caesars Palace was extremely nice but there were a lot of stuck up people and it was hard as hell to get out of. If you want to head towards the Palms and the Rio, there is a free shuttle at Harrah's. I would suggest doing this one night. The Palm's kicked ***. Hooters casino was really disappointing, don't waste your time.

If I were you, I would avoid buying a drink as they were pretty expensive. If you want a beer stop in any drug store or gas station and get a 24 oz can for $2. You can bring them and drink anywhere, including your cab.

Eating wise, I would eat at your hotel's buffet as much as possible. We always had some kind of coupon to eat at. The buffets were pretty decent and filled you up well.

I would definitely suggest watching one of the Final Four games in a sports booking area. The seats are really comfortable, you would drink free and you would have money on the game. It wouldnt get much better than that.

I hope you didn't get a shuttle from the airport to your hotel. They are a ripoff. Take a cab. The total fair will be around $10 and if you ask, the driver will have lots of advice.

Avoid playing War. I thought it would be fun to play war for money but it sucks. My friend blew $40 in a minute.

EG summed it up best. There is drinking, gambling, eating and strippers. It kicks ***. If there is anything else you want to know ask.

I know, but, the quality and variety of food they have @ those is the best I've encountered.
