Okay, so I just came home from baseball practice (now I'm playing in an adult league), and I asked to borrow the camera for two more shots. Because of this morning's unfortunate drizzle, all softball games in the tournament have been canceled... so I decided to take a daytime shot of just Tony Gwynn Stadium, with parts of SDSU in the background (if you look closely you will see the reflection of my baseball pants):

And then a few minutes later I decided to take one of the view I have of what is mostly the rest of the school:

So yeah... beautiful San Diego. I gotta go down to the baseball field and support my Aztecs. Currently they're up 4 - 2.

By the way SPTO, today they're wearing red jerseys with white pants.

From left to right I see:

Parking Structure 4, GMCS building (WAY back in the far left), Love Library, ENS building, Music building, Student Services West, the ARC, Adam's Humanities, the Cox Arena, and then in the FAR back you can see Cuicacalli residence hall, Maya/Olmeca RH, Zura RH, and Tenochca RH... then I see the Capulli Health Center, the Peterson Gym, and Tony Gwynn Stadium.

I know that's out of order somewhat because I go close and far, but yeah.

Storm hall is actually behind PS 4 and you can't see it in this picture. Another great building that is further left and that you can't see in this picture is the Arts and Letters building.

By the way, have you checked out Chappy yet?

Haha, you're right, that is Adams Humanities, not Storm Hall. I'm not too familiar with the view from there, never been to Chapultelec, or any of the residence halls at all.

Damn good view though. Too bad I already live within the city though.

Man, I wish I could be playing baseball right now. But instead, it's 20 degrees and snowing. I need to move to Cali.

Those are some great pics! Brings back some great memories. I graduated from there in 1995 and have only been back twice since then. I really miss San Diego State, it was a great place to go to school plus the girls are beautiful down there.

On a side note: I actually tried out my freshman year (Jim Dietz was the coach)but injured my elbow, eventually had surgery and never got to tryout again.

I'd probably have to go down there to measure everywhere, but the lines are 340, and the power alleys (marked on the left and right sides of the center field wall) are 410. But then if you look at the pictures, left-center caves in a little shallower, while right field actually has a little deeper curve near the scoreboard.

There's another game tomorrow night at 6:00. I'm meeting somebody at 3:30 to do a project, so I can't guarantee that I can see the game. If I do, I'll let you know what jersey they wear.

By the way SPTO, on Tuesday they wore the same red-top jerseys with white pants (no names on the back of these ones either).

They won 10 - 6 in a game with two rain delays.
