    Share your recipes/easy meals

I know there are a lot of single guys on here that have to provide their own food....so lets share our recipes and meals that are easy to make. I'm on my own for the first time this year having to cook all my own meals, its been an adventure.

I'll start with what I had tonight...

Bought some frozen Perdue chicken and a bag of salad.

Cooked two pieces of the chicken in the grill pan/frying pan, whatever that thing is called on top of the stove. While it was cooking I sprinkled a little bit of cajun seasoning on the chicken breasts and then a lot of parmesean cheese on both sides.

When it was finished I took one and half of the breasts and put it on a nice sandwhich roll (like Jimmy Johns or Subway) and toasted it lightly. Then added some texas pete and ranch so I basically had a parmesean chicken sandwich with ranch and hot sauce. It was good. Sometimes instead of ranch and hot sauce I'll use salsa. Then I took the other half of a chicken breast and chopped it up and put it on a salad with some crutons and ceasar dressing.

Pretty good dinner. What is something decently easy that you guys want to share with us?

Nice idea, hopefully I get some good ideas in here.

My favorite, well most frequent recipe.

    - Two frozen boneless chicken breasts
    - Thaw chicken
    - Fillet each breast
    - Take a glass pan, cover the bottom of the pan w. Italian dressing
    - Put the chicken in the pan, cover the top of the chicken w. more dressing
    - Bake in oven on 400 for approx 30 min.

    Delicious and healthy.

    Also, with canned tuna...

    - One whole wheat wrap
    - Put the tuna in the middle of the wrap
    - One piece of American (or any I guess) cheese on top of the tuna
    - Throw it in the oven on a piece of tin foil on 400 for about 5 minutes
    - Once the cheese is melted you can take it out, wrap it up and enjoy!

    Again healthy, tasty and easy.

-Pull off cover of the "Easier to Make" Easy-Mac.
      -Take out cheese packet.
-Fill with water up to line
      -Microwave for 3 1/2 minutes
      -Stir in cheese
      -Eat

      Really, though.

-Take Tyson Boneless Buffalo Tenders, or really any chicken you want and marinate it, or cover it, with buffalo sauce...the Tyson pre-made ones are easiest, though...and not even very unhealthy
      -Heat pasta
-Cut up the chicken you have
      -Put over the pasta
      -Cover with ranch dressing.

It's a damn good buffalo-chicken, ranch pasta dish.

I was worried about that...but my cholestoral was, as the doctor put it when he called with the results from the test, "very good" and "very healthy." My mom and I were shocked given my Dad's heart problems. But hey...I'm happy. I guess working out and doing physical activity really does help.

And granted...I only make that when we have left-over pasta, and some chicken I can make - which isn't very often. Think I've had it twice in the past six months...but it's easy to make and tastes damn well.

But yeah, I had concerns about that too, going into the test, but the results were very well in my favor. Know I have to be careful, though, since my Dad has had open-heart surgery and everything.

Nice, I may try this tonight. Any specific type of italian dressing? I think I'm gonna have to run to the store tonight I'm starving.

Here's an easy snack I make..

-Bag of Frozen Chicken Nuggets or Chicken Tenders.
-Pack of Tortilla's (I just get the Chi Chis kind)
              -Pack of Cheddar Shredded Cheese
              -Buffalo Sauce
              -Ranch

Just Microwave the nuggets or tenders. After that cut them up into smaller pieces. Stick the tortilla in the microwave with the cheese on top for 45 seconds so it melts. Then throw the nuggets in the tortilla. Add some buffalo sauce and ranch, roll that sucker up and Bam! You have a mega snack wrap. I guess you could add lettuce, but that would make it healthier!

That sounds like my kind of unhealthy snack. I'mma have to try that when I go home for spring break.

My father or mother put me onto this one. It's with Jello. What you do is buy the regular packet and mix it. Then you put in whipped cream (preferably Cool-Whip) and mix it together. Make sure it's even throughout and freeze it. You can put fruit in there. Makes the texture of the jello amazing.

Yeah, my mom does the same thing. Except, she adds pineapple with the Jello and cool -whip.

Here's a pretty good mixture of foods I like to make...

-1.25 lbs of lean ground turkey chopped up and browned on the stovetop
-When done put in a container and add any type of seasoning you like and shake
-Put 2 cans of tomato soup in the skillet, stir around
-Add 1 can of corn, green beans, and black beans to soup then mix all around
-After they are warm add the ground turkey and mix up and you're done

It takes about 30 minutes and it'll last for like 3 or 4 meals

It probably sounds weird but every person I've made it for has really liked it

                            Not weird...actually it's like a poor man's turkey chili!

I'm just curious about how extensive a recipe we can post here, or what you guys are looking for. I have a few dishes I whip up, but they involve a bit more prep and time (as opposed to nuking some chicken tenders and pouring on the ranch ).

That turkey chili looks like it might be pretty good. Is it from like leftover turkey or is their turkey that I can buy and then grind up?
