Damn mad, this is really terrible to hear. My prayers are with you and your late friend's family. I'm sure it's hard on you, but please make sure you have people around you to talk with while you are coping.

Re: Been a tough few weeks.......
Yeah this is my 6th friend killed by a drunk driver. In high school 5 of my friends left a party, and I stayed, because a friend *who was a girl* stayed behind and I wanted to make sure nobody did anything to her. Well they got killed by a drunk driver. I drink sometimes, but never get behind the wheel. Pisses me off!!! Seriously I hate drunk drivers and they always seem to get up and walk away from the accident, while innocent people are killed or seriously hurt.
I can't stand people who drink and drive. I hope there's a nice section of Hell reserved for those selfish idiots. I agree, it infuriates me that, more often than not, they are able to survive most of these accidents

Re: Been a tough few weeks.......
Honestly, yes.
Not only are they idiots endangering themselves...but they're endangering innocent people who did absolutely nothing wrong, and are driving home from work, from a friends' house, from numerous things. It's ****ing disgusting, and they do belong in hell.Comment

Re: Been a tough few weeks.......
I agree with Longhorn's post.
I live right near freeway, pretty small with only two lanes on both sides and poor lightning because the area is still being developed. Every night you have nutheads driving on the freeway like it's a racetrack, going at least 80.
Anyways, not everyone drives like a maniac on the 56 every night, but a few months ago there was an accident that happened right near the exit to our place (you can see the freeway from our backyard, it's literally right there). Apparently someone was headed home from work or something at around 11:00 PM and got rammed in the back by a drunk driver and was pushed off the bridge near the exit.Comment

Re: Been a tough few weeks.......
Getting into a car while drunk is not a "bad" decision. It's one of the worst decisions a person can make. It's one of the stupidest decisions a person can make. When you get behind the wheel drunk, you are not only risking your own life - which you would think would be enough to keep people from doing it - but, since that is obviously not enough, you're risking the lives of other people in the car with you (who are, hoenstly, just as stupid as you are if they got in a car with you) and everyone else on the road. It's like playing Russian Roulette, only there is only one empty spot in the gun. You get behind the wheel of a car drunk, you're more likely to hurt someone than not.
You want to know why drunk drivers should all burn in hell? I can give you 16,694 reasons - the number of people who were killed in a drunk-driving accident in 2004(couldn't find 2005/2006). That is 16,194 people who died because of this "bad decision." You're damn right the drivers should be in hell.
The bitter-sweet news? At least 16,694 is down from 2003 (17,105).Comment
