As soon as the media started blaming videogames for this, I bet this was the cause!

Just doesn't compute... You find your girl with the next man (supposedly), then you blast them down... Then you figure, "Hey, I've got more ammo, let me go and take out more people". Then again, this kid probably wasn't playing with a full deck, so maybe it's not supposed to compute.

Yeah, I'm not connecting the dots myself... there has to be more to it that we don't know about yet. Apparently, a poster on NFLDC (NFLDraftCountdown) had a friend that was shot in the head from the shootings today. Said she had surgery and now is in stable condition.

I agree, I can SOMEWHAT see why he would shoot down the ex and her new man but to just go blasting down everyone in sight just goes beyond the pale. I can't see how anyone who's sane would do this.

This guy obviously went cuckoo.

Could be the guy was completely obsessed with said girl, and if she was with another guy he had nothing left to live for, so he wanted to share his pain with as many people as he could?

That's really the only "explanation" I could come up with.

this is what I got from the local news...

They said he killed his ex, and the RA on the hall and then went to find the guy in Norris.

They said that info came from the FBI.

And I got all that info from WDBJ7.

Sounds right to me, if he killed both the guy and the girl in the dorm why would have gone across campus to kill more?

I'm saying. This is so weird, but two mm9's and a bulletproof vest.....that guy must have had something planned.

That said, something like this would NEVER happen where I go to school. Too many people know how to defend themselves(granted, it is the nation's top military college).....but at a civilian college, I can definately see how it is possible. Nonetheless, it is a real tragedy.

That's absurd. I can't believe an ex drove this guy to murder so many people. I really wish they could've gotten him before he ended his own life.

Yeah, I'm just thinking if I were to go wild in that situation, once I do the ex and the new cat, I'm good... No need to go bucking down everyone else who had nothing to do with the situation. This was obviously calculated and meticulously planned. On the one hand, it seems dude was irrational and just lost it, but on the other, it looks like the work of someone who had planned this out for awhile.
