Luffa/Loofa/Loufa/Loofah?

Before you bash me...

I was working on a group project for my advertising final, and we are trying to find a way to target men exclusively with Yoplait Yogurt. Someone made a mention that when Loofas came out, they were marketed to men and women. I laughed. Said, "Hahaha. Guys don't use those things." And then two of my group members, guys, admit to using them, daily.

I was absolutely stunned. Is this common? I have never heard of such a thing. I have never heard about guys using these. Is this common practice for me? I'm not even exactly sure I know what a Loofa is.

Not trying to go on a witch hunt so I can laugh at those here that use them, I just want to know if these two guys are "strange" or this is pretty common.

Alright, I'll bite. I admit, I use them. I've used them for the last four or five years now, actually. They are soooo much better than just putting the body wash in your hands and lathering. They help remove dead skin and they clean you better, IMO. In fact, the one I'm using now has a "regular puffy" side and a more abrasive side. For those that havent used them, join us, come to the dark side...

My ex-girlfriend got me hooked on them. Even though she left I still use one...all though it's just not the same without her!

I got one for Christmas... it was a gift from my cousin who gave one to all of us. I've used it for a couple of times... I dunno... I just feel like I don't have enough time during the week to use it and I forget about it during the weekend.

Haha, no I just scratch myself when I'm at the register. That usually does the trick.

I only know a few and when I have a chance to bring out "I wash myself with a rag on a stick" I do.

I had never heard of a Luffa/Loofa/Loufa/Loofah prior to this thread. Actually, after reading all of the posts I'm still not quite sure what it is.

I use them, but it doesnt have a stick attached to it. just the thing you put the body wash on.

As long as its not pink, I don't see the big deal.... All kinds of body wash are now being marketed toward men.
