Where did you finish your degree, and what field?

I thought this would be an interesting thread to gauge the differences in schools attended, and types of degrees earned.

So it's pretty simple. State what school you attended, and what degree you earned.

I'll start.

Thompson River University.

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.

Asscociate degree in being a devil as a young man.....
Masters in smartening(word?) up as an adult....
and Ph.D. in takin' easy by the lake as an older adult...
and looking forward to my GENIUS rating as a loafer in a few years when I finish my studies.....:wink:

Graduated at San Jose State Liberal Studies Degree, San Jose Christian College BS Degree in Christian Leadership and Biblical Studies. Talbot Seminary received a Master of Divinity degree. Was a Pastor for 7 years, now a teacher at J. Hall.

I was going to take this route but instead stuck with accounting.

How are you finding the work now that your finished school?

I graduated 7 years ago in 2000 and at that time the IT field was slowly going downhill. My first job out of college ended up being a programming job for 5 months, but the drive to work was killing me.

October 2000 I ended up in the textbook publishing world in a role where I was providing training, technical support, product development, and liason between our sales reps/instructors for our key online learning products for a good 6 years. About 3 years into that role I was promoted in to a Senior level. Then this past November I was promoted to another position in the company as a Product Manager where I focus on the strategies of editorial/production development, building sales tools, and working with offshore vendors on 1 of our key online learning products.

As you can see, my career path hasn't really taken me down the MIS route. LOL! One good thing is that I've been promoted twice in the last 6.5 years.

Nope......no bragging, just trying to describe to BOA my career path since the funny thing is that this is not what I went to school for.
