I eat fast food almost every day during the school year since I'm basically forced to due to the amount of time we have at lunch and lack of healthy alternatives. It doesn't really show at all though. I'm 6'1" 160 with 10% body fat. I'm in great shape and play varsity basketball. I can run a 5:30 mile and I really don't feel like fast food affects me much.

Best deal for drinks....Exxon
All summer long, you can get any size fountain drink for $0.99
Doesn't matter if it's 20oz or 64oz, it's $0.99. I go there daily and get me a massive Coke. Hits the spot after a long day at work.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

I work out, play ball pretty much daily but have almost dropped it because of all that trans fat they put in there. Ain't good for the ole ticker.Comment

Re: Whats the best $1 value in fast food?
Yeah, it was the opposite for me. I got to school out in Tacoma and people in college are talking about going for a "JIB" run one late night for some fast food when we were pretty wasted. I was like, there's a fast food place open after midnight (this was like 6 years ago). I'd heard of Jack in the Box, but I had no idea what they served or what was good there or anything. The only thing I remember from them was that they had an E. coli scare like in the early or mid 90's in the Seattle area."You should only drink to enhance your social skills." -Barney GumbleComment

Re: Whats the best $1 value in fast food?
When I'm older and can actually cook when I want and don't have to get quick meals all the time then I won't eat fast food very often. Most high school students kinda have to given the amount of time we're given for lunch though.Comment

Re: Whats the best $1 value in fast food?
This isn't in response to anyone in particular...
Fine, we could not eat fast food. But what about all the other restaurants or places we eat at? Are those meals that much better for us? Everything is going to screw us one day. The best thing is moderation.
For everyone to consider...just because one isn't fat, doesn't mean they are unaffected by their eating choices. I'm not "fat" by any stretch of the imagination, but I know that when I eat bad things, it's probably going straight to my heart. That is worse than any "weight gain" could ever be.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 06-02-2007, 03:24 AM.Comment

Re: Whats the best $1 value in fast food?
I guess things have changed. When I was in high school, we weren't even allowed to leave the campus to get fast food. It was either pack it or eat whatever the school had on the menu (never good).
I hate to tell ya, but when you get older, you don't have that much time for lunch either. In college you do, but funds are often scarce. When you work, forget about it. I can't recall the last time I actually took a lunch break. Just eat while I work.Comment

Re: Whats the best $1 value in fast food?
You can't leave my old High School campus to go get lunch, or anything else for that matter. Your options are to buy lunch, bring your lunch, or don't eat at all. Things have gotten so strict over there, that you can't even walk outside the buildings anymore, because of "security" reasons.Comment

Re: Whats the best $1 value in fast food?
Either Wendy's Chicken nuggets or a KFC Snacker. I have fast food maybe once of twice a week for lunch. The rest of the week I eat healthy though so I don't see anything bad with having that food maybe once or twice a week if you eat healthy the rest of the week and exercise.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

What about packing a lunch?

I agree, when I'm at work I just kind of eat and work. Especially the last month, busy.Comment
