All I'm gonna say is that if a chick wants equal pay in the workplace, they should start takin me out sometime. The difference in pay between men and women in the same job is simply a date premium.Listen to some of my covers:

$250... corner of Michigan and Central... I mean.
But for real, it was around $200 for some fancy dinner. Usually I wouldn't spend any where near that and usually I try to make it so the girl pays LOL... but this girl was different.Comment

Good way of looking at it. Next time we are hiring someone I'll tell the women we charge a date premium tax to help out our fellow men.Comment

Re: Whats the most you ever......
I agree with mjb though, $40 is barely dinner for two where I like to go, and I'm not going to go to a ****ty place just to stay on the "cheap" side. Not to mention that movies, bowling, mini-golf, and other first dates are on the rise price-wise as well.
Where are you guys going for less than $40 for a date? How can you even stay under that for the typical "dinner and movie" first date.
Food to cook = $15-20
I'm not counting gas or anything like that but I've never gone over $60 on a first date, and have usually kept it under $60. I will usually prepare food myself for a first date; most ladies like a man who can cook and it's a nice way to save some coin. Just tell them that I'm a chef (leave out the part about being a chef student) and they've only got eyes for me.
Plus, after dinner's over I've already got them at my place. Don't even have to ask.Comment

My first real date with my girlfriend was prom and we went to the expensive *** chesecake factory. I don't remember how much I spent but it was a lot.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Whats the most you ever......
where are you buying gas and a movie ticket for ONLY $20 bones? I mean most non-student tix are at least eight bucks, with the student discount knocking off a buck or so TOPS! Concessions, unless you are already splitting a drink run at list ten bones for just popcorn and a soda!
Cooking is a great idea for a date. Not good for me though - I'm not a good cook nor do I enjoy doing it unless a grill is involved...Comment

Re: Whats the most you ever......
Good idea on the cooking (did that in the later single digit dates) but man, where are you buying gas and a movie ticket for ONLY $20 bones? I mean most non-student tix are at least eight bucks, with the student discount knocking off a buck or so TOPS! Concessions, unless you are already splitting a drink run at list ten bones for just popcorn and a soda!
There's a movie theatre around here that I absolutely love. It shows a lot of second-run titles, but occasionally it will get its hands on a first-run. Tickets run $4/person for all people & every show. A large popcorn to share is $3 and drinks are $2. That's $15 on the movie, so I guess I'm dropping $22 on a movie with concessions and gas factored in ($19 if I'm chef-ing it up that night.)
Do I look cheap when I go to this theatre? Ehh maybe sometimes, but they are the only theatre around here that has real butter for their popcorn. Delicious.Comment

Cheesecake NASTERY.
Most overrated place in the history of restaurants, not even considering the price, which isn't that much here in LA.Comment
