I owned an Eclipse before it was a chick car, a 1995 GSX...but yes, now, esepcially that body style is a chick's car. Might as well get a LeBaron Convertible for your next car.

It is a shame Mitsubishi bitchified the Eclipse and stopped making the 3000GT. Once I am done law school I plan on getting a 3000GT just for fun.

Exactly, the moment that Mits took the turbo and AWD options away, the moment the car sucked. My turbo AWD monster was awesome to drive, I loved that car, have a lot of memories with it. Now, I look at the Eclipse's and just laugh at what they've become.

Yeah the AWD made them at least semi-practical in the North. Great strategy there, lets take away our major selling point to over half of our potential market. Brilliant!

Buy a 350 Fairlady Z. (which sounds 800 times more "chick car" than an Eclipse)

Named one of the top 5 performance cars under $35,000.

I know it'll be my first car once I get out of college and have a real job.

None of your friends will talk **** if you roll up in this:

Bingo. I once drove my baby moms Suzuki, chick SUV with Tweety Bird and Sylvester seat covers. I gave not a damn how queer I looked hoppin' out of that boy.

I had a red Eclipse in the early 90's and loved it. I don't think it's a chick car, though a chick might want a ride in it.

No, but I haven't heard good things about the reliability of Mitsubishi vehicles. Never owned one so I can't speak from personal experience, but a good friend of mine did and he was taking that thing to the shop all the time. He wound up trading it in for a BMW 3 series.......which also broke down a lot. lol....

I've owned a Mits my whole life basically, never had issues with them. We have a 2003 Montero now, (knock on wood), has never had one single shop trip to date.

That's good to hear. Maybe my buddy wound up with a lemon? Then again, he hasn't had real good luck with cars so it might be him.

I only know of one person who drives one. And she seems to like hers.
