    I collected cards as a kid.

    Still have em....but eh, a card is only worth as much as you can get somebody to pay for it.

      I used to collect them as a kid. I still have them. I think I have a Chipper Jones rookie card.

        That was always my problem. I'd look it up in Beckett or something, get excited about the price, then try to sell it and people would try and rip me off. IMO its better to look at it as a fun hobby rather than a moneymaking enterprise.

          Ditto. I don't have some of the ones you listed but i have a ton of baseball cards from when i was a youngster. I go through them every couple of years. So far i have not put them in my will.

              The other thing I forgot to mention was the ability to get a card graded has really hurt the sales of individual cards recently. Ive tried selling cards at way below value only to get turned down once they realize that it hasnt been graded by a reputable company, so far the only cards Ive ever had that were graded were a couple Greg Maddux rookie cards, other then that everything else hasnt been graded which seems to decrease its value to the buyers out there.

                beckett is worthless. Like others have said a card is only worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Look no where other than ebay to find a cards true value.
