Re: Is there anything worse than moving?
When I moved out of the dorm last spring, my Mom was bringing her van to pick me up and all of my other friends were driving home themselves so I got to finish off the 2 or 3 beers that were left in the fridge. That made moving better.Comment

Re: Is there anything worse than moving?
Moving is very, very stressful, yes. There's a certain sense of tranquility and peace to be felt when you have a home. When you are in the process of changing that home, you no longer possess that feeling, and feel like a nomad. It sucks, but it's an unavoidable part of life. Unless you just want to live in the town you were born for your entire life.Comment

Being a military brat and having moved four times in the last three years DEFINATELY brings this thread close to home.Moving is very, very stressful, yes. At least we are finally stable for at least four years.

Re: Is there anything worse than moving?
There's tons worse than moving. In my life time I've moved over 10 times (I'm 27)... I see nothing bad about it. To me, it's simply become routine...Comment

Re: Is there anything worse than moving?
Its 102 degrees outside today in Raleigh with 100% humidity, sun is out in full force. Yesterday was bad too. I finished up this morning, I'm pretty sore. My hands are killing me.
Now I have to wait for all my roommates to show up one by one over the next week, expecting me to help them move all their crap. At least I got the best room.Comment
