Used to be about 20 miles and a 40 minute drive before they sent all of us home to work virtually a couple years ago.

Now its about a 5-7 second stroll into the den.

22 miles and about 30-35 minutes, but for the next 17 days it's gonna suck with the construction going on on I-5 in Seattle. I won't know how long until tomorrow. Could be close to an hour or hour and a half. Not going to be too fun.

Same here. Occasionally I go in to the office, but 90% of the time I work from home.

It takes about 10-15 mintues for me to get to work depending on traffic. It's about 10 miles to my job.

I actually see the window of my office from my front porch. But since I have to go around the block it takes 4 minutes wlaking to the office.

8 miles...10 minutes. I hop on the freeway by my house and exit the freeway by the station. It's nice.

7-8 miles and about 10-15 minutes.

From my home hop on the main road and take it straight to work. Simple.

I used to commute by train into New York City. 90 minutes one way.

I got a transfer closer to home, now its about a 10 mile drive, 20 minutes one way.

My job at the university is about 40 feet away from my dorm... so about a minute, but if I get a job at Best Buy that I just applied for, it'll be about 12 miles, which is about 20 minutes, not counting the time it'll take to walk to my car.

How did you convince your boss of this? Once I get my home office stuff set up, I could definitely do my job from home, but I'm not sure of how to convince my boss to let me work at home some days.

I told him I was going to quit because I could no longer take the commute. He suggested working from home. I've been doing it ever since.
