I took two accounting classes in college. Managerial Accounting and Financial Accounting. I sucked at both of them.

But I can see how doing something simple wouldn't hurt too much. I'll consider it but I'm not sure if it's something I would really like to do.

Where would I look for a job like that?

So I'm applying now for retail positions and what a pain in the butt this is, man.

So far Blockbuster, Best Buy, and FYE. The application process is exactly the same. They ask the same attitude/personality questions and yet I have to sit there and answer the questions over and over again for each application.

I'm still looking to apply for GameStop and Circuit City. I figure anything electronics, games, movies, is my best bet. Those are the things I'm interested in, know about, and read on a daily basis.

        You should really consider bartending.
I was a bartender for about 5 years and loved it.
Plus you can bartend once you get out of school at 8pm.
Also I made great money bartending, even after I graduated college I continued to bartend until my wife made me get a real job!!!lol

After working at a restaurant for the summer, and planning on keeping the job...

BK's advice about waiting tables is a great idea. I was just a host, but obviously I was friendly with the waitresses/waiters. Most of them are still in school and are doing this to earn money to pay bills. If you can sell products and are friendly, you can make 100 dollars on a weekday and almost 200 on a weeknight. I know a few people there would be making almost a grand a week.

Bartending and waitering are great ideas.

I want to waiter. That's my preference, actually. I'm just submitting applications for retail positions just in case I can't find a waitering job. My concern is I have no waitering experience and fine restaurants in NYC might not like that. I really don't want to work at an Applebees type restaurant.

Bartending is a consideration though I have to go to bartending school. I don't mind that. I just need something right now. I would consider bartending after I get a part-time job. Then I could go to bartending school and weigh my options.

Get into the adult industry. Fly out to Cali a few times a month, do some POV scenes (so no one ever sees your face) and get paid. That's the best way to go.

              I'm totally being facetious.

I was actually thinking of doing the masked man type of deal.

Not really, actually. Not that there is anything wrong with porn but I'm not interested.

By the way, you are now the third (maybe fourth) person to suggest that to me. You're online and you say you're joking but these other people were being extremely serious.

Maybe I should just start up my own adult production company...

I make references to adult entertainment because I work in the industry. But, don't start up your own adult production company... you would not make any money.
