This sums up what I feel perfectly. I can't play the NCAA or Madden football series anymore. There is a gamekiller for me each and every year. I've got too much going on to mess with sliders for 50 hours only to realize that there is something inherently broken with the game.
I went over to a friends house and played guitar hero and had a blast. Plain and simple game, but it was fun. Didn't have to worry about realistic stats, just play.
I am buying an Xbox 360 next week, but sure as hell not to buy the football games. I can tell they are garbage from the things people complain about. We're sports gamers here, hard core, so if something drives one of you nuts, it will eat at my inner soul too. I bought 4 games on e-bay for a total of $80. Gears of War, Forza 2, Ghost Recon, and Battle Stations Midway. That will hold me over until Christmas. I am sure I will break down and get College Hoops because that series has been good to me, but no more football games consuming my time, tweaking those stupid sliders. Too much other things I can be doing to have fun, rather than banging my head against a wall in frustration because I can't turn a piece of garbage into a football game.
