It's not so much a joke just so much as it appears everyone there is very aware of how bad it is.

Maybe I'm wrong. I'm basing this off one 8 hour day.

^What's even worse are exams that determine if you pass or fail. You could go into the final exam with a 90% or something, get a 49% on the final exam,and fail the course. Sure, if you have a 90% going into the final exam, it should mean you've been doing well on the course and all and shouldn't have any problem with the final exam,but it's not always the case. Exams and cases/assignments are completely different things.

It's one thing I've actually hated during my years in school. I've always done well on assignments, but the tests/exams are what kill my grade. I actually think teachers who mark my exams are probably wondering what's going on,cause I've done so well on assignments and all,but then when it comes exam/test time, it's like a completely different person doing it. I'd rather be graded based on what I can actually do, over what I can or can't remember.

I still remember one class I did so well on the final exam, not cause I even understood a single thing in the course, I just memorized all the past quizzes we got(since every exam question was gonna be questions straight off those quizzes). I know some people who have good memory, but never bothered to learn anything in the course, just memorize stuff and get good marks all the time.

That's me, I'd rarely do any homework, or class assignments and then just prepare for, and ace, the exam and pass with a solid B...

Oh and in college I would rarely show up to classes and just show up on exam day, lol..well for classes I didn't find interesting anyways...

And for the people saying that people don't deserve to pass if they aren't learning things...That's sort of the pressure/stress school can put on people. Putting so much pressure/stress on memorizing stuff where it gets to the point where people just want to memorize the needed material over learning the course itself.

That's one of the negative things I've found in school is how often it does happen. It's not cause people don't want to learn, it's just that they're put in positions where you're more likely to get a better grade by memorizing the stuff over learning it.

Called in a prescription refill last night, said it would be ready after 11 or so this morning. Get there at 4:30 this afternoon after having gone to the Pitt bball game and it's not ready, I have to go back tomorrow.

Also, Pitt shuttle drivers who make everyone get off the bus and stand in the cold while he takes a bathroom break.

Products that don't work as advertised. I bought a bottle of Meguiars "PlastX clear plastic cleaner" today to hopefully get rid of the yellowness/oxidation that has developed on my convertible rear plastic window. Bottle says it's good for that among many other things and removes oxidation/yellow on plastic. Complete waste of money. Didn't do anything.

Man, I miss real manuals. Star Wars Rebellion had a literal book as a manual. It was always great as a kid renting a game form Blockbuster/Hollywood Video and reading the manual in the car on the way home.

They always involve "Get a picture with a cop"

When really attractive girls come up to you and want a picture it's cool and all...but we can't do that stuff. It's not a good look for me to take those pictures. Typically they are drunk and very persistent.

I do get tired of it because the girls can be aggressive believe it or not and it's an uncomfortable situation. I get surrounded and what am I gonna do? Push/elbow these girls out of my way?
