Car horns are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I won't use mine unless I'm trying to get a dog out of the road or something.

I definitely do this, the road I'm thinking of has a speed limit of I think 45 but there's no reason to go under 60. I'm the same way walking though, I walk fast and have to get around people. In my mind they're driving/walking like they don't have anywhere to be, it irks me lol.

You say dog. I say old ****er going 20MPH under the speed limit in the passing lane. Same difference.

This is how I (maybe unfairly) envision everyone honking their horn in traffic.

I don't use it to cause a scene, but to simply let those around me know that there are other drives around because their self-awareness is zero.

what gets me even worse is the one guy that inevitably always shows up in front of me and wants to direct traffic from his car instead of taking his turn. drive already !!!
also, for different reasons altogether, 3-way stops. I know why they exist, but I still wish they didnt

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

The more frustrating part about a 4 way stop? A 4 way stop when one or more cars are turning but DON'T have their turn signal on.

I'm driving straight ahead, I see you have no turn signal on, and we both get to stop sign at about the same time(speaking of which, I feel like majority of time I get to a stop sign, it happens at exact same time as someone else,so nobody technically gets there first), so it should be as simple as both cars just going straight. Except that person decides while driving off from the stop sign to suddenly put turn signal on while turning even though another car is going straight infront of them.

A turn signal isn't needed to "activate" your cars ability to turn. It's to tell people around you that you're about to turn. And not a 1 second notice either. You should have it on at least a few seconds before actually turning, and especially on BEFORE you come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

Yeah the lack of awareness of others, or the lack of caring about how you affect others, is a big issue in many areas of society

I'm talking about a merge from two lanes to one right after a red light and cars won't let you over even if you were at the red light way before them. Like how much time are you losing by letting one car merge in front of you? People here act like it's life or death.

The next one is more of a pet peeve than gear grinder.... people who are turning left out of a parking lot on to a busy roadway and choose take a exit without a stop light, when there's a stop light in either the same parking lot or on an adjoining road way.

That may be confusing so here an example:
                      Spoiler
I don't have a graphic but this is so similar to the super walmart near me it's eerie. There is a specific traffic light just for the people exiting walmart turning left. Yet so many people try and use the basic exits for seemingly no reason. The spot is a cluster of businesses, not just the super walmart, but a super Menards on the other side, taco bell, mcdees, another restaurant, and multiple other businesses. It's so convenient to have this traffic light to clear things up but people don't use it.

My brother in law is the type to use the term "sportsball" to describe any sport. He once said the lame cliche statement about why would you want to watch someone when you can go play it yourself.

He just dropped $50 to go watch an Overwatch match in an arena..........

On a side note, my 5 year old son does a thing called "Sportball" that is an actual company that has coaches do classes through city parks and rec and other things. He learns a whole variety of different sports in a fun but not as structured (like practice) environment. He likes it and it's more like play. He's not totally focused right now and able to enjoy teeball (that was a nightmare lol it's so boring i can't blame him). Eventually he'll focus better, but this is a fun way to introduce it to them.

On topic though, I had a co-worker who'd teasingly call it sportsball. He wasn't horribly annoying, but some who do this make me want to punch them. They're the same people who complain about the people who say they never watch GOT.

AirBNB pricing on their map and hosts gouging on cleaning fees. Click on a place for $77, and the total is $205 because of a $90 cleaning fee and other fees. It's a tiny studio. No way they are paying a cleaning person $90 to a load of laundry pretty much.
