Carpal tunnel is a bitch! Don't let that continue. There's wrist braces that will alleviate the pain.

            Yep:

The CBS affiliates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Tampa, Seattle, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Denver, Sacramento, Pittsburgh and Baltimore are all currently dark for DirecTV customers.
Not a short list for sure.

I just went through my recordings, and determined that the biggest culprits for me will be during the NFL season and PGA Tour. I have streaming and other package options to watch those for the most part, I guess.

One of the only shows I watched on CBS regularly at the time was Person of Interest, which of course ended a long time ago and I own the Blu-rays for anyway.

Now that The Big Bang Theory has finished, my mom says she is affected only by Young Sheldon, but she loves that show so I'll see what she does for herself.

Yea for me it's just golf, football, and local news.

I have no doubt they'll get a deal before football season but even if they don't I'll still get to watch the non local games with Sunday Ticket.

My concern though IS with the PGA playoffs coming up soon, I'm not sure they will be in a rush to come to an agreement before that starts.

They are still getting the same advertisements they always would get. They have the leverage since they are still on the air. It's not like those games just stop being shown.

Didn't you guys also lose NBC?

Anyway, I was going to call to threaten to cancel (in hopes for a discount or reimbursement of some sort, even leniency on NFL Sunday Ticket maybe), but the automated service suggested I check out tvpromise.com for more information. I checked it out while I was on hold to speak to a rep, and meanwhile it suggested I log in to my account.

When I did, a prompt came up on the website to accept or decline a one-time $20 credit because of channel removal. I just decided to accept it, hung up, and hope that the TV Promise message (plus what kehlis said) will bring us back shortly.

Fortunately this has no negative affect to Sunday Ticket. You wouldn't lose any games you would normally get with it.

No, I know. My point to them would be "With the amount of football I watch on CBS and am now losing, I am looking to NFL Sunday Ticket to compensate for those games but do not want to pay full price for just those select few (say I'm a Raiders fan or something), and demand a discount on it. If not, I'll take my services to Xfinity where I can get my [Raiders] games back on CBS."

The only two years I subscribed to NFL Sunday Ticket, the first year I got it free and another year I got it for $25. They have offered me great discounts before, heh.

I just figured the amount of eyeballs they reach would have some influence.

We still have nbc. But I dont even really watch it. And the only reason I need cbs is for the sec.

Another alternative would be to get some rabbit ears, though I couldn't record anything that way.

Checking antennaweb.org, I think a simple pair will be able to get me a reception for CBS in my location.
