Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Slow as molasses gas pump.
Just got gas this morning and the gas took about 7-8 minutes to fill my tank. There wasn't anyone on the other side of the island which could cause the slowdown. Must have been a clogged filter or the drop in temperature. It was freezing outside. Thank god for heated seats when I eventually got back in the car.Comment

Go to the city/county and see if what he did was legal.
Or 100% just go block it off. You shouldn't suffer damage to your property because your neighbor is an idiot.Comment

Not sure if serious

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Last time I had that, I think the tank in general was all screwed up. It topped off (spilled out, even) because it didn't sense that it had filled up, and I was irate. The cashier didn't really do anything about it. Had to find a car wash quickly because of the fuel on my paint.Slow as molasses gas pump.

I do try and pump gas at the slowest rate though to receive fewer vapors, insignificant as that may be. I also like to do it in the very early morning so the fuel is at the coldest temperature. I'm getting the most bang for my buck that way. I've learned to be patient at the gas station, heh.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Kinda reminds me of the show "Fear Thy Neighbor" on ID about how neighbor disputes start small and become catastrophic. I've been chilling down my own neighborly issues so they don't jump to that extreme.1. I live in the city limits and am required to pay for garbage AND sewer yet my house isn't on a sewer system and we have a septic tank, field lines, etc. My neighbors across the street are tied to the sewer.
2. My neighbor beside me dug his own ditch in his front yard and angled it towards mine so now his runoff is puddling up at the end of my driveway and mailbox. I'm either going to have to cut into my concrete driveway to slope it away or I'm going to be a dick and go block off where he stopped at our property line because he could have discussed it with me first. I already don't like this ******* because of all the dog issues we've had and how he's never even come to talk to me after his dog tried to kill mine and attack my family.
2. Part of my back yard that has the septic tank is holding a lot of water lately. We're going to have to utilize some french drains, concrete poured drains, etc. to divert water because the ground is really saturated. I have a lower and upper backyard and rain runoff from the upper comes down and into the lower and it just doesn't drain very well.
3. My septic tank is completely full, mostly from water because the lack of drainage so I couldn't flush any toilets at home last night and barely used any water except for brushing teeth this morning. I went to the gym last night and worked out just so I could shower there lol.
I can only recommend "fight fire with fire" isn't the best way to go

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yeah I know it is. The cable guy has told me that when they take back broken equipment that they plug it in and if it comes on right away and works they send it right back out to another customer.
I finally had to buy my own modem three years ago because we went through 4 of their modems in a year and I got sick of them breaking. Also they started to charge us a rental fee for them, I wasn't gonna pay $10 a month to rent junk from them when I could just buy one for $60.Last edited by cusefan74; 01-12-2020, 06:14 PM.Comment
