you didn't have to elaborate, I agreed with you right here. on the one hand I love all thy neighbors. on the other I'd also love it if they could move to a different neighborhood. preferably out of state. I'd even seriously consider moving to Wyoming myself, but I don't wanna be a cowboy! (or a pirate or Switzerland for that matter)OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

The problem with wanting to live in an area with few people around is you either have to put up harsh weather, having nothing to do, small town vibes (which I don't like), or the risk of a bullet going through your window from people deer hunting in the wilderness. Among other things
Edit: I don't mean "small time vibes" as a put down, like they are less important or something. I just feel like often times there is a weird quiet judgement in some of those places, in my experience.Last edited by dubcity; 07-11-2020, 01:41 PM.Comment

I just want lots of trees and big acreage. Don't want neighbors, don't want anyone creeping around the property, don't want to farm. Just hidden away but still relatively close to a hospital.
Hard to really find that given the other parameters.
Often feel like the best bet is to just buy land and build what I want.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 07-11-2020, 01:40 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
In all my house scouting for remote Wyoming, what I realized is that so many of these houses are so unbelievably old. It's understandable because there's so few people that live there so the houses aren't going to be modern or nice, but houses there don't seem to be as modern as remote areas of other states. Most of them need major renovation. Probably 100k more on top, at least.

I hate this. It's like their phone conversation is more important than anything else, and they always take up space in the middle of the walk way. Go outside and do that ****.Comment

I like cold (yes, I know what really cold is) weather so I wouldn't mind the weather at all.Comment

If you like being outdoors and away from others, Wyoming is a great place to live

If I were to be able to move anywhere it would be back in Montana but isolated in the way you describe.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I chose to lose a lot of sleep tonight as I've been spending the last four hours editing a video project in DaVinci Resolve. I was maybe fifteen minutes from finishing, and it crashed. I forgot to save during the entire edit.
I'm upset at myself here.
