Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I'm taking one directly from Seinfeld. The "Pop-In"
When someone just shows up at your house without calling ahead of time. I HATE THIS. This happened last night right after supper. My wife's cousin turns up after about 4 months of not hearing from her at all. No call, just shows up with her husband and 3 kids. 3 hours they stayed. My son's bedtime routine was completely thrown out of whack. I find the later he stays up the earlier he wakes up the next day for some reason. This morning, he was wide awake at 4:30am.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When you browsing the cable guide and see a movie listed as on, you think cool, I liked that movie I will watch it again, just to find out it isn't the original movie but a cheap budget remake of the movie. This happened right now. US Navy Seals was listed on Encore, now the only movie with that name I know of is the one with Charlie Sheen in it. This one however has a bunch of actors in it I never seen before with a bunch of low budget cheesey special effects.Comment

When I can't watch my teams (right now, that means Texas Tech and the Twins).
Also, I apologize for my last post. I very clearly forgot to actually think. It was frankly stupid of me.Last edited by WinMINTwins; 09-29-2012, 07:34 PM.Minnesota Twins

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My dorm freshman year had this happen a couple of times. It wasn't a drill, it's just that there was a short or something in the alarm system and nobody ever fixed it until it happened 4 times.
Then there was a real fire. Somebody lit a chair on fire by the check-in desk.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
New grinder......
When you watch a commercial and the actors don't look the age they suppose to be portraying. I seen this one PC tune up commercial and they have this old woman playing a college girl student. Doesn't look right at all.
And it is another commercial about some clothing store. Girl in the video looks like she is a freshman in high school, but yet she has a husband with grey hair and teen aged kids ?Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When fans dive way too into a show or movie and micro/super analyze trivial aspects of the show or movie to the point where I wonder if they are even enjoying the work or not.
Exampl (very random example):
Noticing Captain America's Shield in Iron Man in the background. Awesome
Noticing the miniscule change in lighting between frames of that same scene and correlating that to the message the director is trying to subliminally send to you (according to you that is). Too far bro.
Sometimes you just have to enjoy what you're watching and not over think it just to over think it.Last edited by kingkilla56; 09-30-2012, 02:05 AM.Comment
