I was passing people, the people in the middle/right lanes. Remember this is the parkway at about 7:30PM, it's pretty crowded. The only problem is the people behind me were pissed because I was ONLY going 65, even though that is already 10 over the SL.

Seriously. It happens all the time. People on cellphones, girls doing makeup and not paying attention to the road, eating while driving, etc. It's ridiculous.

I don't have road rage. That happened to me once, I just shook my head at the guy. You know how people love to honk the horn, I have never used it while driving. I always try to avoid potential problem first.

The only time I really get upset is when someone is driving recklessly and potentially causes an accident.

There are a ton of idiots out there weaving in and out of traffic or slowly drifting into lines because of their lack of attention to their surroundings. It pisses me off that people are so careless.

oh, I've seen the normal stuff... but a laptop?? I was PO'd... and it was about a mile from my apartment...

LI is a horrible place to drive.. no courtesy at all, old fogeys driving in the left lane doing 15 mph, people cutting in and out.. I had to sneer because a few months ago, everyone was soo upset that two teens were killed on a parkway here.. of course, people failed to see that they were doing IN ACCESS of 100 mphs on a very curvy highway.. sorry, won't get sympathy from me - you get what you deserve if ya do that

I agree. That is the thing, when I speed, it's usually carefully. I don't weave in and out. If there is no open lane for me, I stay a safe distance between the car in front of me, and I go with the flow. Of course when a lane opens, I switch lanes and speed up a bit.

I get pissed a lot on the road but I'm a very cautious driver. But I also drive in NY and NY drivers are crazy. They swerve in and out without care for the driver next to them. They hardly ever use signal lights so you can never anticipate either. It's frustrating because you're driving trying to be safe and some knucklehead is out there making it difficult for you.

I've on several occasions have had to swerve into the opposite lane in order to avoid a collision and it's not easy doing that with moving traffic on all four lanes in Manhattan.

I understand mistakes. I've made many in my time while driving. I recognize when someone just didn't see the other car next to them. It can happen. It's when people drive recklessly (which happens way too often) that I get pissed.

You know it's crazy when someone says to you, "You use your signal lights?" while they sit in the passenger seat of the car you're driving.

I also hate drivers that don't use signal lights when I'm walking. Guh, why do I have to stand on the corner waiting to see if you're making a left/right turn or coming straight onto the road I'm crossing. Flash the damn light and let me know you're going to turn so I don't waste my time standing on the corner. I hate that crap.

And finally, when you walk in Manhattan and you see the dumb things people do while walking (this is my biggest pet peeve in the world. I can go on and on about the dumb things people do while walking on the street) how can you expect them to know what to do while driving a moving vehicle at 30+ mph?

They are all crazy, once you realize it you'll be fine.

Taco Bell commercials grind my gears, they are the worst things I've ever seen. Somebody actually got paid for those ideas.
