Any money spent on Beats is not the best money ever spent in a way shape or form, nor best bang for their buck. Unless they are interested in paying 300 bucks for below average headphones and that's what they classify as a deal. It's way overpriced for a name and sub par quality.

Which is why I was saying anyone classifying a Beats purchase as their best money ever spent clearly has no clue they wasted however much money on crap. They might not know it's not the best quality, but that's their fault not knowing that for paying however much for head phones.

Sound quality is subjective though. Yes, you can do tests based on MHz and all the other things, but like what setting on the TV is the best... it's up to the individual user.

Two different levels and their should be two different mentalities. A lot of youth coaches 'play to win the game' and in the midst of all that they teach kids what works instead of how to play the sport they're coaching. At the youth level, you need to teach the kid the fundamentals of the sport in my opinion. You have to develop the kids, again, in my opinion.

At the professional level, yeah, you play to win - thats what they get paid for.

I have beats headphones and its really annoying listening to all the negative comments about them but I also don't boast about them either. Who cares what I spent my money on.

No one cares what you wasted your money on. I think it was more the fact that someone was boasting about how it was the best bang for their buck when they clearly had no idea what a good headphone was.

All I know is going to school for audio engineering saved me quite a few dollars.

People that have never played, watched, or experienced a video game before that feel qualified to blame them for every violent crime in America while citing "facts" they caught on Oprah or some other bs mid-day show filled with propaganda.

All of these people I know personally also believe that taking their 5 year olds out to shoot and kill a living, breathing, creature right in front of their face with a weapon is not only completely normal, but encouraged.

Because you know, them' dang ol vid'ya games be desensitizing R' kids to the vy'lence don'tcha know? Hyuk hyuk hyuk.

My favorite believer of this idea is a former co-worker of mine that just hit 30, is married with a kid, and likes to use his facebook to show the world he is the last good man alive with his constant statuses about his strong morals, conservative beliefs, and damnation of anything popular.

Also interesting about our moral crusader is the fact that he calls a girl I have a thing with every time he is in her city for business alone to "hang out." Mind you not when his wife or child are with, but whenever he is alone, he texts a single woman his age to "come over to my hotel room for some brews" and then compliments her on her body. Of course all while failing to see the awkwardness or irony of this all. Given the fact this creeps her out, he has denied her requests to stop texting her.

But you know... Them video games be making everyone all unholy and crazy!

Agree. I mentioned this a while back in the audiophile thread, but I paid a lot for some Sennheiser HD595s plus a headphone amplifier and was disappointed at the lack of bass.

I had been reading about the Skull Candy Skullcrushers that come with a bonus subwoofer which only simulates the bonus bass and was getting absolutely destroyed in reviews. But I wanted that bass so bad (real or fake), and ended up picking them up when they went on sale and I absolutely love them. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
