Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
The football player is so true, not even exaggerated. I had a friend that was exactly like that guy, ran around with the ball, fouled hard, and would almost tackle you if you went up with a layup, I was like dude we're not on the ****ing gridiron. "Street ball bro" Football players....Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Lol, I remember "The tall dude that only shoots 3's guy" in Middle School at recess there was this one kid tallest guy at the courts and he would always spot up at the 3 point line, he would attempt to shoot 10 threes a pick up game which was crazy and he would only make like 2 to 3 of them in any given day... It got to the point where everyone stopped passing to him because he would only shoot threes.Last edited by Feared; 08-19-2013, 11:47 PM.Minnesota Vikings

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
This is one of those gear grinding days. Add loud neighbors. I get back and promptly hear the loud bass of my neighbor's stereo at 11 in the ****ing morning. I guess better than 11 at night, but I shouldn't have to hear you period. I never have problems with the other neighbors, so I know the ability is there to quiet down. What sucks is I do a 3 strikes type deal. If I hear it 3 different times in like a week, I e-mail the property manager. Then the tenant just complains that they weren't really loud. Luckily by the time I say something, she has already heard from someone else so they are pretty much toast. What sucks is they never enforce the no-tolerance policy here because they don't want empty apartments, but it would be so much more peaceful.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Always felt bad when the caretaker had to come down and tell us to quiet down, I think he did it 4 tines in the 2 years we lived there. He lived right above us. He was cool though; he'd come down and tell us the fine was a beer, so he'd come chill with us for a while, lolLast edited by gopher_guy; 08-19-2013, 08:56 PM.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

You know what really grinds my gears?
We were these people a couple times over the last 2 years in our apartment on campus. Have people over and the music starts at a reasonable level, but as people are drinking the music always seems to get much louder.

I get it if your wife is pregnant, or your small child just got to bed. But there's a certain amount of ruckus you sign up for when you rent an apartment. Unless its a super nice complex or something like that.
Don't get me wrong, everyone should be courteous. But I don't think it's a big deal for tenants to have some people over up until reasonable times on reasonable days a reasonable amount of times a month.
And definitely don't immediately call the police. Let your neighbors know, hey can y'all chill out a little? A lot of people will get the point, and lower the volume.
Now if they're being blatantly disrespectful, do what you gotta. Be don't be an ******* back when they're not trying to be one to you in the first place.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yea, in the apartments I lived in, this kid blared what seemed to be always music from Drake, so I'm sitting on the toilet at 1 am and thinking ughhh "Trust Issues" again? Seriously, this kid had like a 10 song playlist, and that was it. Drake, Drake, Drake, Drizzy, and sometimes some 2 chainz with Drake. I could hear almost every word too, ridiculous.Comment
