haha the worst was a couple of years back I was with a friend and he orders a plain cheeseburger. The lady asks if he wants cheese then. He's all did I order a cheeseburger or a hamburger?

It was pretty hilarious cuz he made the waiter feel like s***, but it was one of those moments, common sense people.

Going to a resteraunt, ordering a Cheeseburger with bacon and asking for mayo only and having them bring me meat and mayo and thats it. Why in the hell would I pay extra for bacon and cheese only to have you take it off, is that a damn donation?

I think we all have those moments at fast food places. Just this weekend i ordered three double cheeseburgers KETCHUP ONLY from McD's (2 for me, 1 for fiancee) and 2 medium fries and a 6 piece McNugget.......what did i get? no nuggets, three hamburgers, no cheese, 1 had ketchup, 1 had pickles.........wtf? I can understand them screwing it up (actually no i cant) but to screw them each up differently? Thats a special flavor of ****** right there.

I didn't see any e-mails saying class was cancelled, and when I got to class there was no note on the door notifying us that class was cancelled.

I walk in the room and people are sitting there like usual. We all sit there for around fifteen minutes, and no one shows up. No note on the door, no e-mail, nothing. Finally we all just walked out and said the hell with it.

I only had one class, so I just went home. What a waste of a morning.

I remember when the local Wendy's was still open (it's closing is a long story), they hired a bunch of Russian immigrants to work there. Every time you went through the drive-thru it was an adventure as to what you'd actually get compared to what you ordered. Some how no mayo always equaled extra mayo, I guess in Russia no means extra or something.

What is even better for me at drive-thru's is the confirmation screen they have, showing your correct order only for it to still be screwed up.

I have one better. I had a class at 9 this morning and we're all sitting there for 15 minutes or so and our professor doesn't show up. Some people started leaving, but since it was a computer lab I was just on OS since I didn't feel like walking 20 minutes back to my dorm.

At 9:35 our professor walks in 35 minutes late and decides to give the class a pop quiz. Now granted that over half the class has already left because she was a half hour late, but now she decides to give a pop quiz? Seriously WTF.

It's like an unwritten rule that if a professor is that late they hold no authority to do such things

Driving on I-84 Eastbound from NY through CT towards Waterbury. It's only two lanes and there are so many damn truckers out there who try to pass each other in the left lane. If you're a car out there it's hopeless. Every couple of miles you'll have to come to a complete stop for no reason other than the fact that the truck drivers are a-holes. You'll be going 40-50 mph the entire time.

At every college I've attended there are actually written rules stating when class is canceled because of a professor's no-show. Typically they were between 10-15 minutes, any professor who shows up 35 minutes late and then gives a quiz should be looking for a new job the next semester. I despise professors who abuse their authority which seems to clearly be the case here.
                      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

                      YKWRGMG:
Using family or close friends of the family to do work for you. We used my wife's cousin to plow this winter and he absolutely destroyed our back yard with his plowing. He managed to completely destroy a slate patio and boy do I mean destroy. The thing is I have no idea why he was even plowing in that area to begin with, I specifically told him not to. So now our back yard is wrecked, I get stuck with the backbreaking job of cleaning it up and I can't do a damned thing about it. If he wasn't related to my wife, given the extensive amount of damage, I would probably take legal action. But because it's my wife's cousin, who she he isn't even close with at that, I (we) are stuck eating hundreds of dollars worth of damage because he was a moron. Funny, the plow guy we used last year (who dropped us when he got a bigger truck that couldn't fit up our driveway) didn't cause even a fraction of the damage,

Then there was the contractor for our kitchen. We purchased a door that had to be custom cut because of the age of the house. The door was a complete piece of garbage and splintered and is falling apart. Of course according to him this was our fault for not doing something that we were never told we had to do in terms of sealing the door (what did I pay him for again?). Now it's getting worse and worse and finally my Father-in-law got him to do something about it. Again, if not for the close relationship to my wife's family and the fact that if the contractor pulled his business my FIL's place of work would go out of business, I would take serious action to remedy this. Instead I basically need to take it in the *** from this piece of crap, and not sue for the beyond faulty workmanship in our kitchen.

I know I can be too litigious at times, but if anyone on this message board posted similar problems minus the familial/business relationships, I would advise them to take legal action against those who harmed them. But I myself can't do the same. It drives me bonkers.

The exact same thing happens on I-91 between Springfield and Hartford all the time. Traffic will just stop across 2-3 lanes for no apparent reason, seriously the traffic in these cities is probably worse than Boston.

What is the policy on how late they can be? I don't know what the policy at OSU is, but I know at the University of Toledo if they were 20 minutes late, you could leave and the class would be cancelled.

I signed up for Barack Obama's text message updates a few weeks ago, and I just received about 5 texts in a matter of 20 minutes. Just a tad excessive.

Well I don't know if it's a written rule anywhere, but every pretty much gives the professor 15-20 minutes before they leave the class. Turns out my professor decided to change the quiz to extra credit though, so those that left aren't hurt by not taking it.

She is the worst professor I've ever had though. Every class she is constantly 5-10 minutes late and I have no idea how she still has a job. It's not like she has seniority either because she just started teaching last semester.

Here's some glorious reviews of her:

The worst thing I ever had was last quarter. For history majors, you have to take a gateway type course before you can actually be a history major, so I took it. So the class is going fine, then in about late january we start taking field trips every week, which is an absolute pain if you have no car, but I was still able to make it. So we go to all of these places, she tells us it isn't any big deal. In all, we have 5 of these, over the period of a month. So these finally end, and guess what... pop quiz. Only it wasn't a pop quiz... it was a pop test. Worth over 100 points. And it wasn't multiple choice, and it wasn't simple fill in. 25 all response questions. What were these questions? "List David Staley's 8 guidelines about internet research" (mind you, we were told not to take notes, and that trip was the first one). Then in lieu of all of these great questions, we get extra credit (which is even more hillarious). We took a field trip to the Ohio Historical Society. You had to pay for parking. She then paid a fee which we were not told what it was, we all assumed it was an entrance fee, so she asks if there is any cost to being at the historical society. The answer is no, she just paid for our tour and we were there on a special day so thats why we had to pay for parking. This was not debatable. The entire class got it wrong. The highest grade was a mid B. I worked my *** off the rest of the class, on literally every other assignment before and after, I got 100%, including an epic research presentation on Ohio History (I HATE Ohio History). That kept me from getting straight As (I worked my *** off at UT and got a 3.97, when I transferred, I lost all of that, so now basically I get none of those General Education courses to pad my GPA). She was a nice lady but that was just insane.
