Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Gotta disagree with this.
When I was in college I loved O.A.R. well before they became popular. I saw them in probably dozens of small time college gyms that you would be familiar with such as Elizabethtown, Kutztown, and Bloomsburg (to name a few).
When they became popular though, their music changed from what it was when they first started.
However, I have by no means stopped liking the old music they played that I originally enjoyed, their newer music is just different and not as enticing to me.Comment

I feel like a lot of bands first album is usually their best. At least that's what it seems like to me.MLB: Texas Rangers
Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
NCAA: SMU, UTA
NFL: Dallas Cowboys

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Some have that good and raw: "This is what's been inside of me all along and I wanted to get it out in music form for the first time," and that's just who they were and they hit it perfectly. Later, they will sell out to mainstream radio and do what gets them on FM or iTunes charts more easily, kind of like Lifehouse. Though I'm sure many people don't listen to them, the latest Daughtry album for instance is just... ugh! (though their first album really wasn't that great either)
However, there are some other bands who really find themselves after some time. They learn what the crowd favorites are, they do some touring, they work in the right group members, they test the waters, and they land into a proper molding. For me, Alter Bridge is the exact definition of "getting better with age." Can't wait to see them in concert in less than three weeks, and in anticipation I've been posting every one of their songs chronologically per day on Facebook. Many question who they are, and it eats away at me a little bit inside.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

The 2nd word is normally just there for no reason. You can type anything you want for the 2nd word or set of text and it will accept it. You just have to get the 1st set correct.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
There was a distinct change in their sound starting with Because of the Times (although I still enjoyed that album), but it was all downhill from there. So much so that I didn't even purchase their last album. I hear the title track and that was enough for me to give it a pass.
Back on topic, it grinds my gears that Youth & Young Manhood is 10+ years old. My how time has flown. It just seems like yesterday I was riding around with the windows down jamming out to Molly's Chamber for the first time.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I've come to like those... Only because now they have them where a video has to play first and then it reveals a word (usually an advertisement built in) and I had one yesterday that was a game. There was a vase and you had to drag flowers into the vase while avoiding other items. Like the guy said above you can usually only type the first wordComment

I saw one where you had a few letters and had to type in the ones that had little circles underneath them. Also saw some that ask you a simple math question like 2+2.MLB: Texas Rangers

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
On Demand services where you CAN'T fastforward through it.
So when it airs commercials and stuff, you're stuck watching it.
And it's the same commercials all the time, all promoting shows airing on that channel.Comment
