It's great to be honest. No need to pay hundreds of dollars each month just to get a couple channels you want and hundreds you could care less about.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When networks covering football get back from commercial break and take FOREVER to put the scorebug back up. Or even when they take it down for extended periods during replays and shots of the sidelines. Know your audience, and know that attention spans aren't what they were 15-20 years ago.Comment

The only crap part is their isn't a good setup for sports yet. Otherwise I'm happy with the options. Except it's going to get to a point where it's so individualized you're gonna have to have 5-8 services just to get what you want.

Almost worth it though to stick it to the likes of Comcast, Charter etc...

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My credit card expired and new one came in the mail so I had to call the number to activate it. Sounds simple right? It was....until the end of the activation process requires me to talk to someone on the phone. I get they're just doing their job, but they're basically reading an entire terms of service page to me and wasting 5 minutes of my time.
After all that, it's basically like
"Do you want to sign up for this protection plan?"
"No"
"O....But you could get _____. Is there any reason why you don't want it?"
"Nope"
lol. I literally just called to activate my credit card cause I was in the middle of buying something but forgot my old one expired. Didn't think it'd end up spending several minutes just to do that. Sometimes it's easier just dealing with machines....Until the day they create robot salesmen.Last edited by Majingir; 10-11-2017, 11:55 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
In every instance I've had, the activation is done after you enter the info. You don't have to stay on the line and listen to a sales pitch. Different laws in Canada?Comment

Maybe just depends on the bank? Either way, don't gotta deal with this again for 5 or so years so I'll probably forget about this next time I gotta activate new oneComment
