Who runs these news companies and networks man to green light this nonsense?
The evening news has always been kinda funny to me.

11 minutes of depression, 3 minutes of commercials, 6 more minutes of depression, 3 minutes of weather, 3 more minutes of commercials, 3 minutes of sports, 30 seconds of a squirrel water skiing, and 30 seconds of awkward anchor banter/outro music.

ND is exactly right, unfortunately, it's these types of stories that get people's attention, attention means ratings and ratings mean advertising dollars. I don't get the general public's fascination with bad news, honestly, so I think it's dumb, but sensationalism sells.

            These people in my ship.

They play hip hop and rap all the time and I don't say anything. It's music.. it's fun and it's entertaining and I'll listen to anything even if It may not be my favorite. The second I select a few rock/metal songs in a row everyone starts bitching.. lol.

When my local stations lead off with the Lions it's more depressing than the regular stories. Can we get back to the evidence of how awful Michigan is please?

Thinking you lost your debit card, driving back to where you thought you lost it, not finding it there, coming back home, checking your wallet before you call the bank, and there it is. My muscle memory is becoming too advanced. I don't even remember putting it back in my wallet.

Heh, it's the same way even when you're in the car.

That's why I always tell folks before they get in my car(I'll usually have Sports Talk Radio on)that unless you're driving, don't waste your time making requests.

On this note, that terrifying moment where you do a jeans pocket check and nothing that should be in your pocket is in your pocket. You freak out start contemplating how much damage/money it would take to replace everything and then you finally check your coat pockets....

That's the way It usually is for me too, unless I'm riding with someone who I trust with the radio. I'll tell them to manage that so I can just drive.

If it's a long distance trip and I'm driving, I'll def. be in control of the radio.

You mentioning sports talk reminded me how much I miss it back home. I bet it was very entertaining, considering how things went down in CFB this year.

Maybe it's because I left my MAN CARD in my MAN CAVE where only MEN are allowed into where we watch football while smoking cigars and gamble while drinking Dr. Pepper Ten because we're MEN and that's what MEN do. Heaven forbid I do something UNMANLY like watch a documentary on Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding because then I'd lose my MAN CARD and every ounce of MANHOOD I have.
