Nothing else really tugs at my heart strings like dogs outside of my own family & friends.
If I ever saw someone injure their dog or anyone's dog/pet, I'd immediately stop whatever I was doing and beat the ever living **** out of that piece of garbage.

Innocent animals don't deserve that kind of bull****.

And the flip-side....would you do the same if you saw a "piece of garbage" injure an innocent, defenseless, human being?

Tough question. I honestly don't know what I'd do in that situation.

If I saw them injuring one yes. If they were just yelling/spanking...no. Same with a dog though.

Just be careful guys. We've had these conversations on OS before and they tend to become emotionally charged.

I second this, living across the country from our dog.

We had her since she was the runt of the litter and when we moved up here it was too long of a process and everything so my Mom came out prior to us moving and has our dog now back home in Wisconsin.

She says we can't get her back because she's too awesome, and this is coming from a family that never thought they would have a small dog (ours is a Shih Tzu.)

I don't think dogs should be treated like an item. They truly are man's best friend. I just saw a lady trying to get $125 for her dog. If you cared about the dog you would only be concerned with it finding a good home... not getting money. With that being said, the best dogs we ever had were free, strays, or adopted. That's the only way I'm paying for a dog, which would also be supporting an organization trying to find them a home.
I hate seeing this. They try to make themselves feel better by calling it a "rehoming fee".

Some of that has to do with craigslist rules.

I wouldn't sell my dog for $125 million.

For 125 million dollars? You might want to rethink that. I'd sell my family for 125 million.
