Drivers who go out their way to get around you just to slow down to a speed slower than you were both going before.

Related, drivers in the lane next to you that hurry up to get around you, then immediately slow down to make a turn.

Gee, thanks jackass, how about just slowing down and merging in behind me instead? Would that be so difficult?

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Been busy lately so haven't had as much time for things to grind my gears, but couldn't pass this one up.

Yes, I know, he has a whole blog post on this, but still, this really grinds my gears.

TripleCrown's sig. Earlier this year, he was suddenly a Blazers "fan". Fine, ok, you want to watch them this year. As soon as they started losing in the second half of the season, poof, no mention of Portland in his signature any more. Now suddenly, they're up 2-1 in the playoffs and it's back in his sig again. He can try and spin it any way he wants, but as a Blazers follower for the last 20 years (I've been watching that long and don't even call myself a fan like he does), I don't appreciate seeing someone hop on and off a team like that as he pleases. And it wouldn't shock me one bit if in a week if the Blazers and Spurs are playing, one of those names disappears from his signature again. Just call yourself a sports fan instead of spinning a wheel every week to determine who you want to say you are a fan for the next few days. It also appears he's given up on the Rangers 4 weeks into the season... but I'm sure that'll make a reappearance here in a month as well. Or maybe the Brewers will be the flavor of the month because they are winning.

I don't see why pointing this out is necessary anymore. We get it. You're a "true" Blazers fan. Who he roots for and how he roots for them is in no way our business. If that's what he enjoys, then who the **** cares? The holier-than-thou attitude that people like you have is insane. He tries to like nearly every sport, so he picks a team. I was the same way in the EPL, until I chose Liverpool at the beginning of the season. I've been looking for a team for probably 4 years. I got really lucky. If they were in the middle of the table, I may not have stuck around. But they're having an amazing season, so they probably have a fan forever.

Who he roots for doesn't matter. You have no right to care. Seems like someone is paying attention just to give him **** about it, and that's not cool.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Sure it's my business. Just like the fans of the Red Sox that followed their entire lives have every right to complain about all the people that hopped on the bandwagon after 2004 and have given them a bad name. It's one thing if you decide to follow them, but stick with it. To say you are a Blazers 'fan', hop off after game 50 when they've lost 6 of their last 10, and then the playoffs roll around and you decide you want to be a fan again because they're winning, that's not cool. At that point, you are just doing it just so you can say "my teams" win. Heaven forbid your favorite team finishes below .500. Because that will surely be the end of the world! It's not holier-than-thou, it's disrespecting those that are actually fans of teams, watch all the games, follow for years, and actually know the team. I don't doubt his (or anyone who does this) interest in the sport, but just call yourself a basketball fan.

I think it's safe to say he knows the sport as I've been here long enough to know he is in fact a Celtics fan. I don't go out of my way to pay attention to it. It's not like he posts once a month and you just don't notice. Ok, fine, the Celtics sucked this year. You shouldn't have to ride the coattails of other teams to still enjoy the sport.

You act like he's jumping in and out of team threads, or talking **** on random rivals of his teams. He changes his ****ing signature. The only reason you have your panties in a bunch is because you pay far too much attention. How you even notice, I'm not sure. Maybe you keep track in a notebook or something?

If he wants to follow winning teams, who cares? If that damages your fandom, then you're the one who has a problem.

At this point I thought the TripleCrown bandwagon thing was just a running joke on OS. I didn't know anyone really took it all that serious.

I make fun of him from time to time, but damn dude, a whole drawn out post? Lol. You don't appreciate it? For you to take his bandwaggoning (new word?) is just.... Idk? Petty? Sad? Weird?

Triple, if Tampa makes the playoffs, I expect you to have a full avatar of Lovie Smith.

Doc if it makes you feel any better, I'm only cheering for the Blazers until the Sonics come back. Maybe until said Sonics win the title, then I'll jump all over that bandwagon.

But if they did that, how would they boost their road-ego? Driving is just a big game to some people, it's ridiculous.

Guess being a lifelong Cleveland fan, never will I have to worry about band wagoners... Except maybe, during the LeBron years.

Now that those are behind us, who would ever jump on the Browns or Indians wagon?
