Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Stupid idiot brother in law that can't figure out when to propose to his girlfriend.
Long story short.. Last week, my wife tells me his brother will propose to his girlfriend next week and my wife wants to be there (He's proposing out of town). So I managed to get a day off from work, so does my wife, all in short notice. We plan our trip and places to go. and then she tells me today that he's postponing the engagement because scheduling of work. WTF??
We had to make adjustments in our life so we can attend, and he can't even freaking do the same.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
BIL wants a surprise engagement with the GF's family, so we planned on making the trek out 5 hours away from us. We went out of our way to make sure we were there for his special day, and he just crapped on us. SMDH.
It is a drag. But the wife wants to be there for her brother, because the rest of her family doesn't support their marriage, so she wanted to be there so he had family to share the celebration with.Last edited by shugknight; 04-14-2014, 02:11 PM.Comment

Pets not on leashes:
SpoilerI was over at my parents' house yesterday to visit and to wash my car. After leashing Gemma to the front porch so she would watch me while I washed my car, I went around back to turn the water on and get a sprayer for the hose. When I came back around the house I noticed this goofy looking teenager at the end of the driveway and I see this little, bug-eyed Boston Terrier sniffing around the mailboxes. I also notice that Gemma is off the porch and at the end of her leash in the middle of the yard. I stand at the edge of house and just kind of watch this guy for a couple seconds hoping he'll acknowledge me considering its not his lawn or driveway he's standing in. After a couple seconds his dog wanders over further into the yard and closer to the house. I'm still watching this scene unfold and am being a lot more patient that I probably should have been. The dog stops. Starts to squat down. NOPE. "Hey, what the hell are you doing?! Get the hell out of here" I yell at the dog. The dog splits across the street into the neighbors yard. The goofy-guy just kind of stares at me for a second before heading off into the neighbors yard where he continued to follow the dog around the back of their house and into the street. Every so often he'd look back at me like I kicked him in the shins.
To piggyback off of that I don't like when strangers come up to pet my dog without having 1) Introduced themselves to me 2) Asked permission to pet my dog and 3) any real thought as to how a dog bite feels.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have an older guy on my street who lets his two labs wonder when he is in the yard or he will walk the street with them. I'm really shocked someone not paying attention hasn't hit one because they'll just stand in the middle of the street and won't move until you get up on them and honk.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I did feel a little bad for yelling at the dog. Its not like it can put the leash on itself. I should have just asked the kid why the **** he was letting his dog wander around my yard like its a private bathroom. Apparently my "Gemma squatting in the house" instinct kicked in, because those words were out of my mouth before I knew it.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I know all teams wold it, but I hate that a team who hasn't been to the playoffs in 6 years raises ticket prices for the first round. The Dallas Stars are 3rd from the bottom in average attendance in the NHL. Yet even in the regular season their ticket prices are higher than the Dallas Mavericks who were 2nd in the NBA and definitely the hotter ticket.Comment

I hope you are a Golden State fan.
Houston's are outrageous too. I'm glad Mark Cuban isn't as greedy as some other owners.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 04-15-2014, 12:18 AM.Comment
