"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
That's surprising, since DTV is known to have some of the best customer service out there.
On the bait and switch mode, the company that employes me has these commercials that says you can get 4 phones with 10gb of data for $160 a month. Which is entirely true, but people don't realize that their pricing is going to change when they upgrade their phones, and the customer service agent who changed their plan for them doesn't explain it like they should. I spend most of my shifts explaining this to customers.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 07-21-2014, 09:35 AM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have a FB friend who recently became a fitness and diet junkie.
No problem there, but now she constantly preaches to me about my eating habits, and posts articles about what's in the foods I enjoy.
Hate that. Told her if she keeps it up I may just unfriend her.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When the procrastination of others directly effects my productivity. This is one reason why I hate having to rely on other people. Some days we just don't got "it" in us, cool I understand that, but at least display some form of effort. ****, I'm trying to dip out if here early on a Monday.Comment

I'm with you man. Me and my direct manager were both off this weekend, having gone into it knowing stuff had to be done by the rest of our team.
I walk into a disaster Monday morning. It's like the rest of our staff went braindead this weekend when we needed them most.
We're both scheduled off this coming weekend too. Having gone back and forth with him this morning about all the **** ups from the weekend, he said we're just gonna have to bend over and take another one coming into next Monday.
Can't wait...
I don't foresee many more weekends off for both of us. LolNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Bored, so I wanted to try and go through Oblivion again on the 360. I loved the game and have fond memories of it. Man I forgot how much loading is in the game. Walk outside, now loading. Enter a shop, now loading. Enter a dungeon, now loading. It makes the game a pain to complete again.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
It's more than that. PM's asking me if I've tried the latest low-cal nonfat recipes.....if I'm interested in P90x, or Insanity, or you name it......when I say no, I'm hit with "c'mon dude, if I can do it you can! No excuses!" You get the picture. She's so proud of herself she's kinda putting me (and some of my other friends) down.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
The remedy is to become an even more obnoxious health nut than she is. Then you start talking her down and beating all her achievements by a mile and PMing her about it calling her a slob. Then she'll get depressed and start eating again. Then she'll back off. Note this may take years of work to do but thats the price you pay for a peaceful facebook.
Did I mention the flood of selfies too??Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
The next time she's exercising ask her if she wants to play an exercise game.
She'll say yes.
Then light her on fire and yell "CONGRATULATIONS! You're the next contestant on 'Yes, But Can You Still Do It While Lit On Fire?'!"
Because seriously people like her are the worst.
Okay, maybe not light them on fire bad. Fine. BUT CLOSE.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
