"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Yes the whole "I say tomato you say tomahto" syndrome. Oh well it's not a big deal just something that came to mind after hearing a clip with Regis Philbin and Chris Bosh this weekend.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
sort of to piggy back on this, i dislike when people dont know how to pronounce things in general. especially if its something big.
or when people dont know how to spell names of famous people. idk why but it irks me to see someone type "deshawn jackson" or something of the like
and just thought of something that irks me more than the 2 above combined.. when people add an extra "s" onto words (names). like asante samuels. many many people do that and i hate itEagles | Phillies | Sixers | Flyers

Re: What is your biggest pet peeve?
I hate when I'm sitting in a meeting at work (I work in a mill, these are rare. I feel you need context to get this) and everybody at the table is clearly half asleep. Or angry that they have to be there. Like visible eye rolls and stuff. BUT! There's always that one guy who decides to take advantage of the "Any questions?" at the end of the meeting, and then proceed to ask questions pertaining only to his job, which he does by himself, and extend the meeting by 20 minutes.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Good thing your opinion doesn't matter that much to me when it comes to me and the occupants of my cars safety.
And I don't "lack" reaction time...I account for the extra time needed for the unexpected. At 3 AM on a windy road I've never been on in the deep country...Trying to hug the maximium speed limit would just be stupid of me or any other driver.Comment
