Actually, you know what grinds my gears. Pedophiles. I am one of those parents that stands out with my daughter at the bus stop every morning because I'm afraid if I didn't, some sick clown would come rolling through and kidnap one of the kids.

And now we've had 3 attempted abductions reported in our school district this year alone.

Guess I just grew up in a small town...

I'm sure the people whose house was by the corner we caught the bus at kept an eye on us.

I know! When did every driveway become the bus stop? I blame the media for scaring the bejesus out of parents with their fear factory. My parents must have loved the hour of relaxing they got before work after my brother and I left for the bus stop in the morning.

Part media, part our legal system (or gold-digging, scum-sucking lawyers). Liability dictates so many actions now.

I'd like to hop onto the school bus train. I leave school early usually so by the time I get near my house in the county(I go to school in the city) there is one bus I always get stuck behind and it makes probably 10 stops in a half mile. It's frustrating, but I make the best out of it by texting while I am stopped.

When I DVR two shows at once and can't watch something else.

Actually you can watch a third show while two others are recording, however it has to be something that is already on your DVR.

Something I saw on the news this morning reminded me of something that grinds my gears. How if any young person is good at something they are described as 'The Justin Beiber of _______'. I'm not hating on Bieber himself (couldn't care less because it's not my style of music and I can't hate on a kid for being successful) but more the media.

There was this story about this 10 year 'workout kid' fitness instructor and of course the story had to say he was 'The Justin Beiber of fitness' and on the weekend they had a story on this young Australian ballet dancer and she was 'The Justin Beiber of Dance'.

School buses. They now (the past few years) stop at every... damn... kid's... house. Even if it is the very next house. I had to walk more than a half mile to a stop when I was a kid.

No wonder our youth is fat. They don't play outside, nor have to walk to bus stops.

And we make our future even wimpier.

This is so annoying when I'm driving to school, and I'm six blocks away, and I have to wait for the bus at 6 different stops. Can't they all just wait at the same bus stop? And if their parents want to wait with them then go ahead and wait a couple blocks down.

Also there is this guy that stands with a cup of coffee and a newspaper while waiting for the bus. Put down the paper and talk to your kids, your cup of coffee and newspaper can wait 10 minutes.

Lucky enough to never have to waste time with bus stops until I went to community college and that was because the parking lot was so packed I literally had to drive around the garage for an hour, hour and a half before finding something or getting so fed up I'd just go home.

Decided to just take the bus.

I don't mind when they do it but it does grind my gears when they hold traffic up to do it.
