When somebody comes over and notices you have your movies/cds/whatever arranged in a certain way and, thinking they're being cute, decide to mess up your system. Yeah, you're never coming over again pal.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Just how sloppy, and ignorant most people are in stores regarding cleaning up after themselves.

and especially so when you call them out on it, and their answer is "Oh well that's somebody else' job to do that". Seriously what the heck, just because some poor employee will eventually be held responsible to clean up the mess you make doesn't mean you have to make their life as difficult as possible by completely ruining the integrity of the fixtures/shelves.

For instance I was at Barnes 'N Nobles after work for a quick stop picked up a magazine and sat down at one of the little tables by the coffee shop. Two teenage looking girls were at the table in front of me and must have taken a good assortment of 20 books and magazines, most looked to be the gossip, celebrity news type... They left a little before I did and as I was going to go put the magazine I was reading back on the stand where I found it.. I noticed the girls left all the magazines they took lying about on the table all over the place, some were even on the floor. Come on now...? Also at the grocery store a guy knocked over a table of canned foods, a few maybe 6-7 rolled out onto the floor and the guy kept walking like nothing even happened.

ARGHHHHH, I don't even work at these said stores and the amount of ignorance people show is infuriating.

The way people act at the store in general pisses me off. Everyone is so damn inconsiderate.

People who don't stop for the National Anthem. This can either be people walking by or people who won't shut up for a couple of minutes to be respectful for their country.

Even though it's not as wrong as not stopping, but people who don't put their hand over their heart for the National Anthem. You may have your reasons, such as not being a citizen, I understand. It doesn't bug me as much as the prior, just a little bit to annoy me.

What grinds me most of all is when guys don't take off their hats during the anthem (military members in uniform excluded obviously).

Edit: Most people don't even realize it's a federal law.

If someone ever came up to me and told me I had to take my hat off because it's a federal law, I'd tell them to **** off and keep it on out of spite. Personally, I take it off out of respect, but the fact that's a federal law is plain stupid.

Not to pull the first amendment card out of the shoot, but it's a pretty direct violation of freedom of expression. If I'm allowed to burn the American flag because of freedom of speech, I don't have to stand, take my hat off, or pay any kind of respect to this country that I don't want to. If the law were ever enforced, it'd be shot down in the Supreme Court pretty quick. That and it's just silly to demand some one do anything that doesn't harm people. Why should I have to?
