I play basketball during lunch with a bunch guys I work with. Not showering after sweating that much, then putting your work cloths back on just isn't an option. Well, unless you want to be know as the extra sweaty guy at work.

Most of the time showering isn't that bad. However, about a year and a half ago we would always have the same teams playing against each other every day for months. It was basically a rivalry between Team Accounting and Team Estimating. One day things got a little too heated on the court and we ended up abruptly ending the game before things escalated. We didn't really take have a "cooling off" period so everyone went straight from the court to the showers. The next thing I know there's 3-4 guys shouting at each other in the shower. It was the epitome of awkward with a side of disgusting. What animals we were that day. Since the we split the teams up more often.

My Jr. High School also did this. We had this fat PE teacher (oxymoron right?) that would tell us that we would need to shower. He wouldn't watch us, but he'll make sure your hair is "wet" which meant you took a shower. After the next couple of weeks, kids just ran into the shower to get their head wet then ran back out. Some, including me, would just go to the sink and wet my hair.

This is what we did in high school as well. Gym teacher wasn't gonna watch us but he would check to see if we looked like we showered.

So we would all just rinse our hair out. I would add a little water to my face and my ears.

The crazy thing is we never had towels. We never came in with towels. We never left with towels. So...???

But my gym teacher wasn't a stickler. He didn't really give a crap. I think he was mostly proud of us for thinking of a solution.

See, that's the thing. I wouldn't do any exercise when I know I have to be somewhere else dressed/kept nicely.

Instead of worrying about this shower ****, I'll just do those activities when I know I can shower in my house comfortably whenever I want.

Hell I didn't even like changing in and out of gym clothes around others. I'd get the shirt and shorts ready and positioned so I could switch clothes as fast as humanly possible

This is spot on for me as well. Every day at gym I hated changing and would do it as fast as possible.

I used to do the quick change too when my psoriasis was real bad on my stomach and I was embarrassed. It's gone now though, so I'm all about showing off my male model status ;-).

Not that many per day for me but during the work week and dealing with people from all walks of life and going into unpleasant houses... Feel so grimy after a patrol shift...

Speaking of creepy middle school PE teachers, there was one that creeped out everyone in the school. This man had the creepiest smile and would find reasons to touch us during gym class.

After I left the school, word got out that he sexually abused his 12 year old adopted son. What a **** up.

Hahha now that you're all uncomfortable, yeah I keep my dick to myself and my girl. Never showered publicly. Actually at the beach as a kid, saw the swingin' dongs and that was that. Never again.

I don't like to shower with my girl, let alone another guy. I'm there to shower. That's my time man. I don't trust some of these people to not wander off with their eyes... comparing... contrasting... that's an odd birthmark... I don't want you talking to me while I'm rinsing and soaping my thang. It's like taking a dump and having someone watch you. It's private, and any other way ain't right. Can't tell me anything.

I learned that most everyone is uncomfortable in a public shower, so it doesn't really bother me anymore.
