That's a major gear grinder to me.

There are times I've looked back at posts I made, whether it be in haste or just a detailed post where I was typing a lot, that I get so mad at myself for making that mistake and I will go back and edit it irregardless of how long ago it was.

That's because you smell and have nothing better to do.

I'm the same way. Be it on forums/Twitter/texts or even in real-life... Grammar (correct usage of the words good/well, proper spelling of their/they're/there, etc) is by far my biggest pet peeve.

I hate myself for it - I really wish I wouldn't care about it at all, but for the life of me I can't stop. If I'm with some friends (that are particularly terrible about it) I will annoy the hell out of them correcting them when they say something egregiously bad. They know what's coming, and they'll do it just to irk me as well so it comes out as a wash.

I can understand limitations (Twitter's character limit means some words have to be cut/shortened) but, on forums, if every other word is misspelled and there is no structure to the post I won't even read it. If I am bored enough where I try to venture and read it, the point that is trying to be made gets dismissed as ignorant - no matter how valid the point may be.

        Glad you caught that lol.

I was worried with the rest of my post no one would which is why I decided to put the equally annoying winky face at the bottom.

When I see moving trucks outside, get excited to see who's leaving the building, and it's never an annoying neighbor. The day Downstairs Dickhead finally moves out will be the greatest day of my life.

Also, when the moving trucks come back a few days later and it's not a hot chick moving in.

Gated communities. Im staying with my dad for the holidays and right now I was thinking of ordering Chinese food for delivery. Can't because I forgot the passcode to the community gate; which the delivery man needs to get through.

On a similar note, neighborhoods (usually in the country) where you NEED a car to get around. Im so used to the city and the million ways to get around that right now I feel stranded in this house without a car.

              The scrabble dictionary!

lol, I hate it so much. So many random things you can't find in normal dictionary's end up being in the scrabble one just for the sake of making the game "more fun". I'd say probably a quarter of the times I've ever lost to someone in scrabble, it's cause of some last(or 2nd last) turn move that resulted in some 20-30 point move cause they played a random letter combination that isn't really a word, but is a scrabble word.

ZZZ can count as a word lol. Qi counts as a word. Xi counts as a word. Zax counts as a word.Oyez counts as a word and abunch of other strange things.

xi and qi are in a normal dictionary though. Oyez too. I really don't get how zzz is a word though.

People who constantly complain about the road conditions, and rip the "idiot" plow guys.

My dad was in charge of when to send out the plows for a suburb of Minneapolis for a long time (this is the first winter he hasn't had to do it, he loves snow now! Haha) so I saw first hand how much these guys bust their butts to keep the streets clean.

Waking up every night there was a CHANCE of snow to look at radar. And if it was snowing: calling the cops on duty every hour or so to get road conditions, deciding whether or not to send the plows out.

And people seem to think these guys have a money pit to draw from...

Can't keep everyone happy. Go out to much, and the council is riding you for going over budget. Don't go out enough, and the roads are crappy.

And even when you do go plow, people complain about getting snow at the end of their driveway while they are shoveling. Haha

Speaking of snow plows, I went to the store today. I figured it would be packed, but surprisingly it wasn't bad at all, got back to the building and the snow plow guy had cleared out the lot. It was the first time all snow season that my clunker Blazer wasn't stationed in the lot when the plow dude came through. No one else was parked in that entire section either, so it got cleaned up nice. None of this grinds my gears.

Many plow guys are idiots. Outside of the major streets, every city I lived in sounds like yours, they hired regular people to plow streets. Countless times I've seen them running stop signs while plowing here (pretty sure plowing doesn't mean you have free reign to run stop signs/lights, especially if other cars are out) and one about ran someone off the road a couple weeks ago. It's like they think because they have a plow on the front of their truck, they are above the law or something.

I will vouch that most plow drivers don't follow any rules and do what they want. Irritating.

For real? They just hired Joe Blow off the street to plow???

The city my dad works for (not a major city by any stretch) uses all city employees to plow the roads.

I work for my county's parks and recreation department and we have some heavy equipment where if there was sone sort of event we could and up being part of the recovery process which could include scraping roads with tractors/bobcats. I'm no expert in scraping roads, but I think anyone with some common sense and knowledge on the equipment should be able to handle that.
