We have a few Flying J's up here too. Didn't realize that they were that far south. But yes Kwik Trip/Star (it's the same company) is pretty much glorious, but it doesn't touch Casey's, which is the gas station/convenience store that is pretty much everywhere in Iowa.

Dang it Burgh, this is the "Talk about Regional Gas Stations" thread. Get outta here with that power outage talk.

Hate to knock this thread off the gas station topic but I'm watching the Marlins and Rays on TV right now and omg the double lettering on the RAAYS jersey is such a gear grinder. With that said there's also the Philllies.

Didn't LeBron have a commercial for some energy stuff with the slogan "Take a Sheet"? That's pretty much what I thought of when I read of this Sheetz place. They need an adjacent store named Shartz to complete the deal. This turd would be a great spokesman:

Interviews with any baseball player. They must have a guide on what to say in an interview because the same two sentences always come up every time. Doesn't matter who it is.

"I'm just trying not to do too much."

"I need to stay within myself."

              Drives me crazy.

Whenever the interviewer brings up a stat or a trend, especially in the negative sense, the player says "No we try not to think about that stuff."

They have to give these generic/stock answers because anything worthwhile becomes ESPN Breaking News, front page material, discussion point #1 on all the talking head shows. What's the level of concern after these comments? Deal or no deal? Panic level? Let's discuss this ad nauseam!

I hate the interview segment of any show, especially the dugout chatter during a baseball game, I don't care, just shut up and show the game. The only guy worth listening to is Pop because he gives quick precise 1 word responses so everybody can get on with their lives. Pop is a man of the people

When you drop your sock on the wet changing room floor at the sportsplex.

Or trying to get your socks back on after you've been swimming.

The best part of the dugout interviews during games are when the other players mess with the guy being interviewed.

Wet sock in general. Especially when you can't do anything about it. Like when you are walking into work in the morning.
