Also grinds my gears when I see people put stuff they no longer want just anywhere in the store. Or I will see people leave their empty Star Bucks cups placed on the shelves throughout the store. Way too many people treat retail workers like 3rd class citizens.
It's been my belief for years, that everyone in the country should be required to work one year in the service industry (food, hotel, etc) and one year in retail.

Maybe working behind that fast food counter, working front of house or back of house, working behind the front desk or housekeeping at a hotel or working a retail job will give them more respect for people working those jobs when they have to experience firsthand what all those people go through every single day.

Along those lines, always cracks me up on those facebook foodserv/retail groups, when a meme get posted talking about rude customers or people not tipping, someone always has to respond with the typical, "well, that's the job you picked, so deal with it" or, "you're already getting paid, so I'm not gonna tip you cuz you always screw up my order anyways." There are some sad and miserable people out there lol.

I saw a girl once loading groceries in her trunk then push the cart just far enough so she could leave. As she was getting back in her car I pushed the cart back behind her car. I’m not sure what happened since I went into the store but I hope she backed into it.

So did she learn or did she just move it aside again and create an annoyance for someone else to deal with?

Maybe she did learn and maybe she didn’t but if I didn’t do it she definitely wouldn’t have learned.

But there's nothing to guarantee that she learned anything at all.

Still getting mail addressed to the previous owners, 7 years later. Even after repeated, "Not At This Address" & "Moved" put on the envelopes.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

So I recently just finished re-watching season 2 of Fargo and replaying L.A. Noire and loved both experiences. Now video game stories are often criticized for poor writing and with good reason, so it's refreshing to play something of L.A. Noire's caliber again which had the quality of narrative, depth of character, presentation, atmosphere, dedication to detail and dialogue that with a bit of fine tuning could make a solid to good TV mini-series.

I would watch an episode of Fargo then play L.A. Noire and it was amazing how compelling and authentic the experience both were in similar ways. Brendan Mcnamara who wrote the game and Rockstar's Dan Houser and whoever wrote Spec Ops The Line have delivered highly entertaining experiences that easily stand toe to toe with your average show.

So, I did some searching to see if there was a consensus of acclaim but instead fell into a rabbit hole of how the story was boring, the main character wasn't interesting, the ending wasn't satisfying etc etc

It blows my mind how something that stands as one of the elites in it's medium from a purely narrative and cohesive world building perspective is not appreciated. Maybe I'm only seeing the opinions of teenagers or those who haven't read or seen a variety of different forms of fiction because it really brings my urine to a boil.

Things like that and how amazingly detailed the writing and presentation of stuff like the internet and TV in GTA games deserve more attention honestly.

Also hate the term "aged well" in relation to video games, like what a vapid and whack method of evaluation.

Sorry for the long post, just discovered this thread and my fingers won't stop hitting letters and formulating sentences.

Oh and James Dolan owes me about 20 years because watching the Knicks this season will inevitably lead me to an early grave
