I know it was in NC, too, and I think it is here in CO. I've always figured it's one of those things where the cops will write you a ticket for it if they pull you over for another reason, but won't pull you over specifically for that.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

We were coming out of Target yesterday and heading down the aisle our car was parked. Each side of the aisle had a stranded cart. One was even within feet of a return stall. Several people walked by the carts as they headed into the store. When we got the carts we each took a side, put them back, and then headed back to the car. It took less than 60 seconds.

I'm not sure what irks me more. The fact that people left the carts stranded or people were wilfully passing them by.

Another thing about shopping carts that irks me is when people leave trash in the cart for the next person. Used tissues, coffee cups, chip bags, etc. Lazy *** people in this world.

I know this doesn't really belong in this thread, but when out grocery shopping this past weekend I saw a hot chick put a cart back in the cart corral. The cart wasn't even hers. Maybe there is hope for our species yet.

When things I watch that I get so invested in, don't pay off. Regardless if it's a tv show, sports team or anything like that. I get more invested than the average person, so when things don't go the way I hope they do, it stings alot more.

lol, maybe I need new hobbies.

They time it like that so you won't flip the channel.

I hate having my health insurance messed up like it is right now. Some how something got messed up and it says it's expired and it's not and I'm waiting for them to straighten it out. The first person said 2 days, 3 days later when it still wasn't right they said no, it will take 10 days. WTF!?!?! Just fix it!!!

I don't know why I still use Chrome. It's better than Edge/IE, but really it's not that great. I think being more tied into the Google environment is the only thing holding me on.

There is probably an add-on to do this, but I wish when I typed in the URL bar it didn't bring up Google results, and only brought up matching hits from my history.

I was actually intending to ask about this a long time ago. Do sister stations or competitive stations plan commercials in accordance to what each other are doing?

Because there are two sides to this, really: one is possibly to plan that you are on when they go off air so that they stay with you when the flip to you, but at the same time when you go to commercial you are hoping they are not on air, or are soon to go to commercial.

It often happens in the morning when I'm eating I'll be watching MLB Network or something, then when they go to commercial I check NFL Network, ESPN 1/2/News, and they are sometimes all on commercial at the same time. You figure that just one of them would be on, but nope. Same thing happens on radio, where our local stations (KNBR 680 and 1050) seem to be on commercial at the same time quite often.

I'm just curious if they actually pay focus to what the others are doing, for better or worse to the viewer/listener?

I think it may just have to do with commercial breaks being slotted at certain segments of a show. So if it’s a 30 minute episode, at the 8 minute mark, 18, 22, etc.

                                Just a hunch.

I was floored when I learned hockey games take TV timeouts at the 14 minute mark, 10, and 6 or maybe it was 4. Actually quite convenient to know when attending a game if you want to refresh your beverage or relieve your bladder.
