I hate when I order a burger and they ask if I want cheese and I'll say no and when I get home guess what, there is cheese on the burger. Pisses me off.

You ask if I want it and when I say no, you add it anyways.

I never send food back. If I order a cheeseburger and I'm given a fish sandwich, I'm eating a fish sandwich. I don't go out of my way to eat mayo, but when I order a burger hold the mayo
and they dont hold, I'm eating a burger with mayo. This is probably why Subway is my favorite place to eat. I've never been given a wrng order at Sub. Though I did have to stop eating their lettuce. No matter how much you tell them please just a little very little lettuce, they still pile it on like they think your peter cottontail.

This just does not happen at restaurants/food service places, despite what movies want you to believe.

Keeping our job > getting revenge on someone for sending food back.

I worked for 4 years as a fast food manager and I can attest that it just does not happen.

It wasn't because we wanted to keep our job, but because fast food workers are mostly normal people and normal people know that this crosses the line.

At Sonic Drive-In your concern should not be bodily fluids in your food. What would be more likely, and I've done it myself, is if you ordered a slush and you start pitching a fit don't be surprised if that slush gets a little extra slush base in it. (I don't mean the unflavored slush, I mean the liquid base being poured into the slush. Its one of the most bitter things you can drink)

Mostly we did dumb things that amused us. Like when you order multiple burgers each made differently we would write on the wrapper which is which, only we'd go out of our way to misspell every word possible. Your wrapper may say something like "no picals, xtra letus"

The only place I feel I must watch my food before it gets to my hands is Burger King. I always go inside and order on the rare occasion I eat there.

I think you are a conscientious individual and ran a good ship, and because I sense you are likely a generally normal person, it's probably hard for you (as it is for me) to imagine that there are total sociopaths out there that would adulter food for their own amusement or out of some misguided sense of revenge. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it myself. But, as others attest....it (sickeningly) does happen. And the kinds of people that do these kinds of things really don't care about their jobs (and can easily get another minimum wage job at the restaurant down the street if they so choose). They are sociopaths, after all.
